I suggest that one of these goes through. (Meta questions only)

1: Above "The question in one sentence" add

"Notice: Please check our useful posts on the right before posting, your question may have an answer!"

or

2: "Before proceeding, please check your question was not already asked" is replaced with the useful posts.

(JS, I think the Useful posts is kinda shrouded by everything else. IMO it should go on top.)

That question covers a lot of stuff also covered in other questions. But I linked to it from the points question which is linked from the sidebar.

And good idea about adding the notice. I am going to go through all the sections and add more detail above the boxes when asking questions, because no one seems to read the stuff on the side!
