Database top banner

Question

Hi. I'd like to know why the banner at the top of the page has Scizor and Zeraora on it specifically. Was this a choice made by the creator of DB, whoever that is? Is there a reason? I'm just very curious about this design aspect. What was it before Zeraora was released?

Apparently it was Electivire before Zeraora.

It's been ages since I've seen the Electivire on the banner. I feel old lol

As linked by KyogrePulse, Electrivire and Scyther were originally chosen because Pokemaster thought they looked good compared to other combos.

During an update to version 3, it was logical that Scyther would evolve along with the scythe site, however Electrivire was removed. On our current version of the site, it would seem that Zeraora has replaced Electrivire, likely because it was newer and had a similar color scheme.
