Meta-PokéBase Q&A

Wall for ~Obstagoon-Marnie~ (page 17)

Okay, thanks. It's not a separate groundation from the last one, it's the same one.

Interesting. I haven't read much Harry Potter, myself. I read a solid chunk of one of the books but then just kinda spaced out finishing it I guess. Now I have no idea where I was in the book when I stopped. XD

Yeah. Main characters only could work just fine. I've started my nuzlocke-y thing and chosen Harvest Moon: Animal Parade, so maybe I could only name them after marriage candidates? They pop up pretty often, and if you plan to marry one of them, you'll be seeing them a lot. I think I might go with that, which means 20 Pokemon. I also see your point with the genderless thing, I mainly just put it there so you wouldn't have to encounter another Pokemon if you got, say, Magnemite. This would also mean you can't catch Legends, but depending on how many Pokemon you have allowed, you might not even have enough names left for the Legend to fill a slot, so that doesn't matter. As for similarities, it's a good idea, but it could also cause some problems if the Pokemon has basically no resemblance to the characters. Unlikely, but possible.

So far, I chose Popplio as my starter (she ended up female don't ask me how), and I named her after Anissa. I should've named her after Candace (Candace has blue hair and Popplio and its line are blue), so I dunno what I was thinking.

I imagined a strange Nuzlocke idea. It has all the regular nuzlocke rules, but with a bonus. Basically, you chose a game/movie/book or game/movie/book series and only nicknamed your Pokemon after characters from whatever you selected. However, you couldn't have duplicate names. And also, when you use up all the names of the characters, you can't catch any more Pokemon, so when you first enter a route, choose wisely. Even if a Pokemon dies, you can't reuse its name. Also, your Pokemon has to match the gender of that character. If I was doing one of the challenges and decided on Harvest Moon: Animal Parade, I couldn't name a female Pokemon Luke or a male Pokemon Selena (Selena sucks by the way). For genderless Pokemon, you can name them after any character. I'm considering doing a nuzlocke like that, using the before-mentioned Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. I'm bored I guess... hey actually I might do that. (boots up UM as if I'm not doing a Kyogre Shiny hunt)

What I meant was No Surf, since Surf is illegal in sky battles apparently and now I have to redo the battle
