The DB OU tier were created due to legitimate grievances we had with the way smogon was running OU and other tiers at the time, particularly its policy on handling weather-related strategies and it's annoying tenancies to avoid 'complex' bans.

When Gen 6 rolled around a lot of problems were solved by Game Freak themselves, our need for a tier was gone.

If we were to make a tier again, it'd be purely because we'd like to have some fun and ban/unban stuff as we'd like. We'd get a chance to redesign the metagames over our own, minority opinion without having to cater to the majority.

if this is something you want, suggest it in the metabase and see how much support there is.
