You have already been fooled. My species may be native to the depths, but I am no ordinary flapperpus. While I do drop by every now and then, I in fact, spend more time outside of the ocean than in. My most notable destination is Saturn's third ring.
However, shall we ever face off in the trenches of the ocean, don't get arrogant -- for I have the power of alchemy and Cthulhu on my side!

Amazing! You are not an orange man made out of wigs, but simply a MAN WEARING AN ORANGE WIG! Lol.

Color is produced by the reflection of light rays that our eyes pick up. Certain colors have shorter wavelengths, and after they reach a certain depth in the ocean the wavelengths no longer penetrate the water, making the color invisible to our eyes without another external light. Green and blue wavelengths penetrate the farthest, which is why when you look down in the ocean or the deeper you go green and blue are the only colors you can see. Orange wavelengths disappear at a depth of around 50 feet, and my kind lives 9,800 - 13,100 feet down.
Scientifically, your powers are nothing down here! Nothing!

Whenever there is a new Eeveelution, you get it using a brand new evolution mechanic. For example, Gen2 introduced times of day, Gen4 introduced location evolution, etc. This is probably because it wouldn’t be practical if Eevee can suddenly evolve using an old feature when it couldn’t before. For example, if I traded my Eevee with a Reaper Cloth in Gen7, it won’t evolve. So it makes sense that if you did just that in a future gen, it wouldn’t as well.
The idea about Eevee evolving by fainting in battle is so cool tho. But maybe GameFreak will surprise us with a cool new evo method...
