I believe that king's rock is banned in OU. Have your cloyster hold focus sash instead.

yea, its allowed like JamesBlob said. It was pretty nifty when i used icicle spear on ferrothorn and flinch when it wasn't able to die when i have powered up from shell smash. I love focus sash but when i have to bring it late in battle with hazards set up (cloyster who hates sr) , have no use with the item.

Maybe give pokemon light screen or reflect to decrease any possible damage and possibly extend the substitute on your pokemon if low enough

EDIT: wait, I lied. Shell Smash Cloyster needs to be used with white herb, it's the only logical item for it
