Unnerve Galvantula. Seems weird but I was getting tired of getting walled by those resisting berries so I could OHKO my opponent. So I started thinking of Unnerve. At that moment Galvantula popped up. So I checked his weaknesses and decided to go for a Rain team. Here is the team. A few members will look familiar because I also used them at my other team. Lets go to the team.
@ Focus Sash
Trait: Unnerve
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Bug Buzz
- Thunder
- Giga Drain
- Protect
Bug Buzz as STAB and for those annoying Cresselia's that there are around in Doubles.
Thunder as secondary STAB, to kill my opponents Water types as I go straight through Wacan Berry due the Unnerve ability.
Giga Drain for those Ground/Rock types and healing myself. Again usefull against Gastrodon with Rindo Berry. Protect for scouting.
Focus Sash to live at least one hit.
By giving up Compound Eyes on Galvantula I needed another way to abuse Thunder. So the next member came in:
@ Wacan Berry
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Surf
- Protect
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
Surf as STAB and as spread move. Also more power as Scald in Rain.
Protect to dodge attacks.
Ice Beam to hit Dragon types when Ludicolo is gone.
Toxic is here to stall.
Wacan Berry to survive a Thunder from Thunderus-Therian in Rain.
Toxic slowly eats the opponents HP. Together with my next member it is hard for your opponent to stay healthy.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Leech Seed
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Protect
My other staller next to Politoed. Rain Dish Ludicolo. Not Swift Swim as my opponents will think.
Leech Seed, Leftovers and Rain Dish allow me to heal 1/4 of my health every turn. If I got my both opponents seeded I regain 6/16 of my health every turn. Great with Politoed's Toxic. Protect to last a turn longer and regain more health. Ice Beam for those Dragon types. Scald as STAB and another move that causes status.
Most teams in Doubles that carry Politoed on it are Swift Swim teams. I tried this and it didnt really work for me so I decided to go back where I came from: Trick Room. With my faithful Cresselia.
@ Sitrus Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 220 HP / 196 Def / 92 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Icy Wind
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Trick Room
- Psyshock
Yes, RainRoom. Cresselia sets up Trick Room with support of my next member: Scrafty. The EV spread I changed a little compared to my other team. I wanted some more Special Attack EVs so I changed the nature from Modest to Calm and those spare EVs I threw in Special Attack for Hidden Power Fire, since I cant bring a Fire type in to rain. Icy Wind is for the speed support of my team. Allowing Galvantula outspeeding Latios after 1 Icy Wind. Psyshock as STAB and for those pink walls, Blissey and Chansey.
Here is my Fake Out supporter and my switch in to sponge Dark and Ghost attacks aimed at Cresselia.
@ Chople Berry
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Crunch
- Drain Punch
- Fake Out
Intimidate to lower my opponents Attack one stage. Also prevents Sharpedo to OHKO Cresselia with a Dark Gemmed Crunch. Fake Out to set up Trick Room with Cresselia. Crunch to hit Ghost and Psychic types. Drain Punch for Cresselia's number 1 enemy: Tyrannitar. Bulk Up to boost my Attack and Defense.
Last but not least. My Steel type:
@ Lum Berry
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Atk / 4 Def / 136 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch
- Meteor Mash
Yes, I just took it from my other team because it works well for me.
Earthquake for other Steels (not named Heatran)
Zen Headbutt and Meteor Mash as STAB and Ice Punch as suprise attack on Landorus-Therian and those Dragons.
I know I have no Dragon of my own on this team but it isn't needed. Im good without a Dragon type. Also Politoed and Ludicolo seem to have a Electric weakness but that's fixed, you can't OHKO them. So started to battle with this team a few days ago and this is the result. I hope you enjoyed reading.
