Here's the premise. Dragon types hate steel types, and hate ice types. That's a given. Both of these types however can be handled with the appropriate coverage move, typically a fire type move. What boosts fire type moves? Sun, that's what. Under the sun steel types tremble in fear before being melted by the raging flames, leaving their teammates to be obliterated by a draconian marauder.

You feel warm, hot even, but not uncomfortable. It's pleasant really, to let the suns rays wrap themselves around you in its tender embrace. But you realize this sunlight isn't natural, and that something is amiss. You turn. Next to you, calmly sitting with poise and a commanding presence, is...

Ninetales

Miles Prower (Ninetales) (M)
Item: leftovers
Ability: drought
Evs: 252 hp 4 sp atk 252 spd
Nature: bold
Flamethrower
Energy ball
Will o wisp
Pain split

Here's the best nickname on the team. The sega sidekick is a key component to the teams success. It can cripple physical attackers with will o wisp, but is typically no more than annoyance to any pokemon not named scizor, ferrothorn or forretress.

It took 64 bleep'n levels to evolve the thing, but it was worth it.

Hydreigon
Bloom (Hydreigon) (F)
Item: leftovers
Ability: levitate
Evs: 4 hp 252 sp atk 252 spd
Nature: timid
Substitute
Dragon Pulse
Fire blast
Focus blast

Their are multiple reasons for choosing the three headed flying flower tank lizard. Her superior movepool to the other special dragons is mine. This set, brought to you by Flare, is in one word, useful. Set up a substitute and something's practically guaranteed to faint. Really the one thing is dislike is focus miss, so i may replace that with roost, but I don't want heatran to be even move of a pain than it already is.

The bells were ringing in the dale
As men looked up with faces pale
The dragon's ire more fierce than fire
Laid low their towers and houses frail...

Salamence

Smaug (Salamence) (M)
Item: lum berry
Ability: moxie
Evs: 252 atk 4 sp atk 252 spd
Nature: hasty
Dragon dance
Outrage
Earthquake
Flamethrower

A favorite of mine, this guy is absolutely ridiculous. When not chilling on his hoard of dwarven gold in Erebor he can rip through teams practically by himself. I know lum berry means I don't get the immediate power boost, but I don't enjoy having my sweep cut by life orb recoil, and I've been saved by quite a few scald burns and thunder waves thanks to it. Also, I chose reliability over power in the case of flamethrower, as a sun boost makes its power more than enough to remove most threats, but since hydreigon can provide a reliable dragon attack I went with outrage, because with a dragon dance and or a moxie boost not even most steel types will enjoy taking it. Also lum berry can cure the confusion effect.

I also considered naming him "Ferbrothorn"

Ferrothorn

Ironhide (Ferrothorn) (M)
Item: leftovers
Ability: iron barbs
Evs: 252 hp 152 def 104 sp def
Nature: impish
Power whip
Stealth rock
Protect
Leech seed

All steel types (butjirachi) should be named after autobots. End of story. This is team leans towards the offensive, so he supplies a staller element. Resisting dragon is his main purpose. He also forces the many choiced dragons to use their fire type move, which ironically allows my dragons the chance to switch in, whether it be hydreigon for the revenge kill or salamence for the dd sweep.

Sorry infernape you were great but your just not what this establishment currently desires

Scizor

Run with me (Scizor) (F)
Item: choice band
Ability: technician
Evs: 252 hp 252 atk 4 sp def
Nature: adamant
Bullet Punch
U turn
Pursuit
Superpower

This team is neither a fan of tyranitar nor mamoswine, and was in need of a reliable, powerful, physical revenger, and sometimes it's best to walk the beaten path. In addition to adding another handy dragon resist the living craft tool serves to help in handling latios and latias, prominent team threats, with its powerful prioritized bullet punch and supereffective u-turn.

No, I'm not naming it Patrick

Starmie

It's not you , it's (Starmie) (Genderless)
Item: life orb
Ability: natural cure
Evs: 4 hp 252 atk 252 spd
Nature: timid
Rapid spin
Ice beam
Thunderbolt
Psyshock

Worst. Nickname. Ever. Spin support is quite helpful around here. So is a rain and dragon check. It can also take out gengar and jellicent, the most common spin blockers, with ease. Since this a sun team, psyshock takes the place of surf. It has led many blissey to their demise.

Well, that's it. Thanks for reading. Feel free to give me your comments, positive and negative

It should be noted that there are some threats, like scarf latios and scarf landorus, that I don't enjoy facing. I may replace Infernape with Scizor to help with this. Also helps the Mamo problem, and can still take out Ttar for me. Hydreigon and Salamence with Earth power and earthquake could handle heatran I suppose.
Also, I considered naming this team "Prepare for trouble, and make it double"
That Starmie nickname made my night. Love that song.
Song? I always thought it was a classic breakup move. :\
I honestly kinda find it ironic how you include a steel type on this team after the intro xD This is a great team I love the idea.
Also, Once it is.
Jeez. I was really thinking of something clever to follow this chiz up, but I just feel so wrong and outcasted.
To be clear, I originally named starmie after the break up move, but the song adds a whole new layer to it.
Yay the desolation of smaug!!! :D
love the names Bro xD by the time I was reading Salad I knew who had written this RMT. Nicely done.
You might just wanna try out Substitute > Draco Meteor and Dragon Pulse > Dark Pulse with Leftovers and Jolly Nature. This set eliminates Mamo threat and let's you hit Lati_s and Landorus pretty hard on a switch in and then with SR up, you would likely get a 2HKO on them (with Dragon Pulse of course). You would also get a free turn to KO other Pokemon under a Sub, and many types that Hydreigon resists have to switch into something threatening, and with good prediction, a Sub on the switch would probably give you a good KO or two. Hope I helped you a bit, nice team though, +1.
Cool thanks flare I'll have to try that out.
Oh and consider Hidden Power [Fire] > Psyshock on your Starmie, as it's powered up by the Sun, and also let's you hit Ferrothorn and Forretress and Scizor and Skarmory and all that jazz really hard in the face :D
Also, always happy to help :)
The substitute set actually worked quite well. Always took something out, and even swept some teams.  Thanks flare!
No problem, and where did Scizor's moves go? xD
They disappeared! :0
Awesome.
lol @ both of you :3
