So after looking and noticing a couple things I commented, but then I noticed more stuff that I think the team would benefit from. So here we go.
This is your current team before any changes.
Weaknesses:
- Ground
- Fighting
- Flying
- Psychic
Otherwise not too bad. Let's take a look at the pokes now.
Infernape
I love Infernape, I truly do. It is a beast to be reckoned with. However with my ideas for the team I think it would be neat to fake a choiced set. So here is a choiced EBelt set.
Infernape @ Expert Belt
Trait: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SAtk
Hasty Nature
- Overheat
- Close Combat
- Mach Punch/U-Turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]
So a couple things here. Overheat is extremely powerful already and means you can invest more EVs in attack. Now I think the best thing to do is to fake a Scarf set. To do that it is preferred to keep U-Turn > Mach Punch. This also allows for more coverage. The key thing to remember is when you hold the advantage of surprise in making them think you are choiced is to only use one move. So this means lead with U-Turn, or if you lead with OP Overheat, then switch out, don't use U-Turn. This guarentees that they will think you are choiced. CC and HP Ice are for coverage and will hit quite hard. HP Ice is for smashing Gliscurr's face apart mostly. And lando... :3
Gengar
Gengar is a great pokemon. I used it in my first ever team. However I needed to balance the water weakness whilst still keeping a fighting counter. Jellicent was my instant thought. But what set to use? You have a hyper offensive team and I'd like to keep it that way so, we will be abusing Jellicent in a very interesting way.
Jellicent @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Water Spout
- Shadow Ball
- Ice Beam
- Giga Drain/Trick
So two nice tricks here. ScarfJelli is A) unexpected, and B) when you play your cards right you can get her healed back up to reabuse Water Spout. With its great bulk the hits it takes won't be doing a huge amount of damage so you can easily switch out and then switch into a water move for healing. Giga Drain if you want to hit other water types and heal so you can use Water Spout some more, or you can utilize trick thus allowing you to destroy those sad little walls like Blissey.
Mamoswine
I love Mamoswine, especially BandSwine. But I had some ideas and after Scarfing Jelli I decided to go for a SRocks setter + 3 attack Mamo.
Mamoswine @ Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Icicle Crash
- Stone Edge/Superpower
Stealth Rock when predicting a switch and then abuse his outstanding attack stat. No Priority on this guy as with Bulk he lives an attack to reply with his own. Thick Fat is a god send for this fella allowing some heavy resistances simply through the ability. My decision was to eliminate his speed as you have several other pokes who can do speed sweeping for you.
Scizor
With only one weakness and several resistances this guy does quite well on the team. I can suggest two sets, both should work fine. I would prefer the first one, but whatever works for you.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
BandNician is truly horrendous to deal with. With is already heavy attack, boosted by Technician and STAB, and then boosted even further by Band, Bug Bite and Bullet Punch will be dealing massive damage to those that dare attack you. EVs are same principle as Mamo, you have speed sweepers so Bulk is preferred. Unlike Mamo I gave you priority to abuse ;)
Now of you don't like Choice Items then you can run Swords Dance Scizor. This provides strong attack and allowance for mistakes.
Scizor @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
Essentially the same with different item and Swords Dance > Superpower.
Hydreigon
Going to be keeping Hydreigon to deal with psychic and ghost weaknesses but it does mean Keldeo is getting a replacement.
I like the idea, SpecsDreigon. Try Surf > Focus Blast so you don't miss so much but still hit everything.
Also Draco Meteor > Dragon Pulse as with Specs your going to be switching anyway so the stat drop won't affect you.
Keldeo
This Unicorn is very good, but I need to replace it with someone who can handle fighting types. At first I thought psychic type and my mind eventually wandered to the Lati twins. I was going to suggest Ltios first, but Latias seemed to do the job better.
Here is a CM Sweeper set which I have used and thoroughly enjoyed.
Latias @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Substitute
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
SubCM mind set. YOU NOOB yeah yeah after the first 100 RQs you'll want to use another poke because this Lati has just meant that you have nothing left to do. I use HP Fighting to hit very nearly every steel type and those who are purely defensive, aka Skarm. Otherwise simply aboose Dragon Pulse.
