Intro:

> m00 here. I'm just using a team with overpowered Pokemon or overused Pokemon that everyone knows about. My best friend Genesect got banned to Ewbers, and that sucks. So I need a new team, and need to give up this team qq. But it was fun to use. ~Mewderator

> Hey guys, its Once, Poo built this team and I used it and now that Genesect is banned he wantedto write a broing RMt, but made m do the introduction. Have fun and happy President's Day. ~i suck qq

Team Synergy:

  • Immunities: Heatran: Fire, Azumarill: Fairy
  • Weakness: Mandibuzz: Fairy
  • Resist: Heatran: Fairy

The team:

Medicham (M) @ Medichamite

Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • High Jump Kick
  • Psycho Cut
  • Fire Punch
  • Ice Punch

Medicham's life changed as it gained a mega evo in gen 6. It gained 40 Attack, 20 Speed, and a slight buff to its other stats. Although Mega Mawile has the highest Attack stat in the game after Huge Power, Medicham is almost as powerful, in addition to having great speed (45 more Speed than Mawile). Medicham also has a wide range of coverage moves to use in its own disposal. High Jump Kick, one of the most Powerful Fighting type moves, hits extremely hard after Medicham mega evolves. Its enough to 2HKO many that resist it, and it sometimes 3HKOs Landorus-T, which is very impressive. If not using High Jump Kick, STAB Psycho Cut is used to deal at minimum neutral damage to Fairies, Flying Pokemon, and Ghost Pokemon. Fire Punch is mainly for Aegislash, which usually would switch in on an expected High Jump Kick, and take 50%+ from a Fire Punch. Lastly, Ice Punch deals an incredible amount of damage to OU, as there are many x4 Ice weaknesses to exploit.

Azumarill (F) @ Choice Band

Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Aqua Jet
  • Waterfall
  • Play Rough
  • Superpower

Azumarill has changed drastically since last gen. Although it does have a weakness to Poison and lost the resistance to Steel, being immune to Dragons is a huge perk. Huge Power partnered with a Choice Band has the potential to rip through holes like no tomorrow. EVs on this sucker allows it to outspeed minimum Speed Blissey and destroy it with Superpower before any status comes up. The moveset is pretty damned standard for a Azumarill in generation 6. Aqua Jet is our only form of priority on the team, so its essential for Azumarill to stick around until fast threats are gone. STAB Waterall just hits tremendously hard from Azumarill's Attack stat, and flinches are really nice. Another reason why Azumarill lucked out this generation is it s access to the only Physical Fairy move, Play Rough, which hits a good majority of the tier extremely hard. Finally, Superpower nails most steels, such as Ferrothorn.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

  • Stealth Rock
  • Lava Plume
  • Toxic
  • Protect

On nearly every team, you see either a Landorus-T, Rotom-W, Tyranitar, or a Heatran. Talonflame scares the crap out of everyone, so here's our Talonflame counter. And when it was still roaming, Genesect was everywhere. This guy is also our Genesect counter. By resisting both of its STABs. In this generation, Heatran got a buff and a few nerfs. Heatran lost its ability to take on Dark and Ghost moves in exchange for being able to take Fairy moves well. Otherwise, Heatran is the same thing from last gen, maybe just fatter than before. Stealth Rock provide chip damage for me, giving my Pokemon an easier time. Lava Plume allows me to fish for burns, bolstering the team's Defense as a whole. Often at times, we need to Poison rather than burn, because of how the battle will end up in the long run. Therefore, Toxic was used over Roar, as we found a different phazer. Finally, Protect allows me to scout, which is essential due to Heatran's 4x Ground weakness.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers

Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 208 SDef / 52 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

  • Knock Off
  • Roost
  • Defog
  • Whirlwind

Mandibuzz, without a doubt, is one of the best Pokemon from the transition from generation 5 and 6. It received a large number of buffs that brought it from NU last generation to OU this generation.
- Knock Off's power was boosted from 25 to 65, and to 97 if it knocks off an item.
- Defog removes hazards on both sides.
- Steel no longer resists Dark.
- Overcoat blocks powder moves.
- Whirlwind goes through Protect.
- Walls Aegislash
With 115 / 105 /95 stats, as well as having access to Roost to recover any lost HP, Mandibuzz has quite the longevity. EVs allow Mandibuzz to take less from Stealth Rock upon switchin, as its job is to Defog. 52 Spd EVs outspeeds min Speed Rotom-W.

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb

Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)

  • Earth Power
  • Focus Blast
  • Psychic
  • Rock Slide

Landorus is a threat to many teams. Its extremely powerful Life Orb boosted Sheer Force attacks are enough to 2HKO most Special walls, which is pretty scary. Its great coverage allows it to pass though most teams without trouble, but the problem is usually Landorus' average Speed. Regardless, it managed to cement itself enough into the metagame to actually tweak teambuilding a little bit. EVs are standard for Landorus, and Naive is here to take priority slightly better. Earth Power is the crux of the set, the main STAb nuke in Landorus' arsenal. Focus Blast is the way to get past certain levitating / Flying Pokemon, such as Skarmory, and Pokemon holding Air Balloons. Psychic is my best option or neutral coverage and it provides me with a way to hit Rotom-W really hard. Lastly, Rock Slide is used off Landorus' decent attack stat, and is also boosted by Sheer Force. It hits Talonflame and others on the switchin, and provides me with a pseudo EdgeQuake combination.

Genesect @ Choice Scarf

Ability: Download
EVs: 8 Atk / 248 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)

- U-turn
- Thunderbolt
- Flamethrower
- Ice Beam

Although Genesect overcentralized the metagame a little by forcing people to run Heatran, it honestly wasn't too hard to deal with. It lost its resistance to Ghost and Dark, granting it fewer switchin opportunities. Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, and Ice Beam dropped in base power, and the introduction of Fairies limited the damage caused by U-turn. Still, with good Speed, Genesect was an excellent pivot to use while it lasted in OU. EVs allow me to gain 1 extra point in Attack, while remaining the same in Special Attack after a Download boost. Naive allows me to take on priority slightly better, as with Landorus. Thunderbolt is my best option against Heatran and bulky Water Pokemon, although it really isn't too much. I have used Giga Drain, but saw myself helpless to Fire Pokemon in general, so it was replaced. Flamethrower nails every steel that is not named Heatran. Ice Beam is extremely important, as there are many 4x Ice weaknesses in OU. Finally, STAB U-turn allows me to scout what the opponent is about to do.

a very cool team you have there, and i must say i learned a lot by looking at this RMT.  i like to run AP over toxic to take some threats like talonflame and charizard, but i can see why you are running toxic.

is gennesect ubers for real now?
You need something to take water type attacks better, all you have is azumarill.
For once, I have to agree with The Pika. Rotom Wash might give you some trouble, quite possibly taking out Azumarill, Heatran, Lando, and maybe even Mandibuzz.
Rotom-W does nothing to Mandibuzz, even with a super-effective Volt Switch. The damage is easily recovered. Also, Mew uses Rock Slide on Lando, but I use Gravity which means when its up I can kill Rotom with Earth Power. :l
I don't understand! What is OU?
too bad gene is in ubers :(
