Obvious Titles 4 The Win

Anyways, a while back, I decided that Mega Pinsir was so good, that I should build a team around it. And so I did. And you are here. Reading my terribly structured sentences. And you are still waiting to learn something about the team. Why are you even reading this.

Loser, read the team.

Pinsir (F) @ Pinsirite

Ability: Mold Breaker -> Aerilate
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Quick Attack
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance

You see, players abuse the most overpowered pokemons. They dont value originality, or looks, no. They value powers. And who grants you more power than EKiller Arceus?

Oh, wrong team.

ANYWAYS, Mega Pinsir is a boss, and there is no denying it. Quick Attack is insanely good Priority, hitting a sweet 78 Power move, which is really not at all that bad, considering that Flying is a tremendously great offensive typing. Frustration is just a stronger version of Quick Attack, that doesn't have priority, but has wallbreaking power. It has a higher Power than Talonflame's Brave Bird (180 Power Brave Bird vs 198 Power Return). So, get that in your head for a bit. Earthquake serves as a all-around coverage move, being able to finish off Aegislash, Heatran, MMawile, and Rotom-W (prior to Mega evolving). The only legitimate counters i can think of are Skarmory, Defensive Zapdos, and Air Balloon Rotom-Fan. But nobody uses Skarmory, so it's ok. (Get the joke, or get the heck out c:)
If you want calcs, head on over to Smogon's MPinsir thread. Enjoy it all.
Frustration > Return, just for Ditto Trolls.

Latios (M) @ Life Orbs

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Recover

Enter the part 1 of the infamous OU core. Latios pairs really well with Bisharp, with fairy typing being the only legitimate type to be able to take them out both. But that is a different story, and Sylveon/Togekiss get destroyed by Bisharp in the first place.

Anyways, nothing has changed other than the fact that Latios is now a very well known Defog pokemon. Clearing Rocks on a team with 3 pokemons weak to SR is optimal. Psyshock catches MVenu and Conkeldurr off guard, and is a preferred move when it is mandatory to keep myself at a neutral SAtk. However, Draco Meteor is just a rek-stuff-and-flee type of move, with minimal risks, apart from Aegislash switch-ins. Recover is just to heal me up, because Roost is lame, and these guys aren't even flying types lmfao that doesn't even make sense thank grammar for run on sentences.

Bisharp @ Life Orb

Ability: Defiant
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

Enter Part 3 (yes, part 3) of the Latios + Bisharp core. This sexy knight takes care of Aegislash and switch-ins. Knock Off is always a 100% guaranteed OHKO on the standard Aegislash. Sucker Punch is just to beat faster pokemons, like Mega Pinsir (who will EQ if I'm at high health), or Mega Charizard's, who will try and kill me. Iron Head is the fairy and Tyranitar killer, and Swords Dance helps me boost up when scrubs think they will set up on an expected Sucker Punch.

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 208 Def / 64 SAtk
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest

Talonflame counter gg. Random EVs, standard moveset, ChestoRest > Pain Split Lefties. Nothing to see here, really.

Talonflame @ Choice Band

Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 48 HP / 252 Atk / 208 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost
- U-turn

Enter the Mega Pinsirs counter.

Do you ever have those moments where the opponent has a Greninja, Alakazam, and other frail crap, and Pinsir is dead? Your team is in the 9th inning, bases loaded, and you have no fast power hitters left? Well, Talonflame is the absolute answer. What was that? I can't hear your weakened Rotom-W switch-in TO THE FACT THAT I WILL KILL IT THE NEXT TURN. Brave Bird is good, kills stuff, and makes me go suicidal. Also, it allows me to act as a pseudo-scarf, thanks to Gale Wings. It also helps me beat Pinsir 1-on-1. Flare Blitz is just STAB, and amazing coverage, only to be walled by Rock types, Heatran, and Rotom-W (in OU). Basically, a physical Moltres (who dies to recoil). Roost heals me up whenever I suspect a Heatran/Rotom-W switch mid-battle, and U-turn helps weaken TTar.

Thundurus (M) @ Experts Belt

Ability: Prankster
EVs: 82 HP / 178 SAtk / 248 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 Def
- Nasty Plot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

This thing is deadly, let me start off with that. EVs are to survive a ScarfChomp's Outrage, and allow me to retaliate. Nasty Plot is because no one can handle the swag (or the Nastyyyyy). HP Ice kills Garchomp, Dragonite, and MVenu (weakened ones), as well as the annoying Lando-T. Thunderbolt is STAB, and helps check all these darned Mandibuzz and Defenssive Rotom-W's that are around. Focus Blast is mainly for Heatran, cause Talonsflame really hates it. Not to mention that it OHKO's TTar :)

There ya go, that's my HO team.

SO MANY TEAMS WITH MEGA-PINSIR. Anyways nice team. You dont have a scarfer, I assume Talonflame takes care of that?
This is so similar to my team that it's scary
Cs > Lo on latios and then make it a trick set No recover this is HO nobody has time for dat
I actually DO have time for dat.

Expected Aegislash switch-in, but don't want to risk the opponent staying in and possibly killing Bisharp?
Recover saves the day.

I'll consider.
Eh, nice team. Can't think of any suggestions, so yeah, nice team p:
Scarf Terrakion, Scarftar and Aerodactyl say watch out for rocks
Don't really have much to suggest here, used the team myself a few times and works nicely so nice team n_n
You really don't have a strong electric type counter.
Electric types in OU?

Rotom-W: Walled by Latios.
Thundurus-I: Lol Bisharp is best bet by Knock off (on predicted TWave), and Sucker Punch on predicted Focus Blast.
Thundurus-T: Once again, Bisharp Sucker Punch, or Latios Draco Meteor.
Galvantula: lol no one is scared of that thing
Mega Manectric: gl with Defiant Bisharp.

So really, I don't have any safe switches into Electric moves apart from latios, and that is a slight problem (people hardly use electric types outside of Thundy and Rotom). So yeah, I agree that something with an electric move could possibly sweep my team, but somewhat unlikely.
Kronos: Yeah, I built this a bit before the RMT phaze of Pinsir, realized that no one else's Pinsir team exluded Genesect, and hadn't lost to another Pinsir team (apart from Mew's; we go back and forth), and realized that it was time to post a succesful OU team for this gen as a first. Also, Talonflame acts a pseudo-scarf, as does Pinsir (with Quick Attack).

Tazzie: Did you use Genesect? I bet you used Genesect :P

Brotad: Scarf Terrakion is almost OHKO'd by Talonflame, meaning that Pinsir + Talonflame is a definite kill on it. Also, Pinsir takes his sweet time setting up SD's if it is locked into CC. No one uses Aero, really, and Rotom does decently against it. ScarfTar is a bit problematic, but nothing i can't handle (fodder something weak to Rock and let Bisharp set up).
Bisharp applies a **** load of offensive pressure and I'd consider using substitute since anything that comes in most likely will wall a knock off or iron head and retaliate, or just won't mind a +4 sucker punch.
Standard team with 6 upvotes woo
SubSharp is not really to my liking because 1) Nothing really wants to take a +2 Sucker Punch, and 2) LO + Sub doesn't appeal to me. Eh, just a matter of preference tbh.

Standard? Yeah, I guess using two pokemons who practically play the same role, a triple SR weakness, and an underrated core is quite standard. Or probably the Mega. It's the mega, isn't it?
