Pokémon Rate My Team

Welcome to another RMT! After quite some time I am finally back in VGC. This year the format is Kalos Dex only. So after a lot of tweaking through different strategies and combo's I looked back into VGC 2013 for some ideas. I ended up with the report of the winner of the World Championships 2013. I loved his Mamoswine + Latios idea and went to the Kalos Pokédex and found Mamoswine there but ofcourse no Latios. I went eventually with Gardevoir. So I had Mamoswine and Gardevoir. Both had a Steel weakness so I added Rotom-Heat. With Rotom- Heat on the team I had problems with Water so yeah I went back to my old team and imported my Amoonguss. The glue on my team. Even I had Will O Wisp on Rotom I wanted some more pressure on several pokemon so I went for Intimidate. Also I needed a Mega. Mawile and her Mega forme came in. After that I really wanted a hard counter to MegaKangaskhan so my old and trusty Conkeldurr also joined the team in the last slot. Even though with Fairy around I still could cover him pretty good. Enough talking for now. Lets take a closer to my Database Tribute VGC team:

Flafpert (Mamoswine) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 124 HP / 44 Atk / 100 Def / 44 SDef / 196 Spd
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 SAtk
- Icicle Spear
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Rock Slide

The mighty Flafpert! Conqueror of Ice. My most valueable member together with Catnipz. He caught many people offguard due his Scarf. With a Choice Scarf he outspeeds positive natured Pokémons with a 115 Base Speed. 124 HP/100 Def lives a Drain Punch from 252+ Conkeldurr and with 124 HP/44 SDef it lives a 252+ Overheat from Rotom-Heat as well. Rest dumped in Attack. Icicle Spear is great to OHKO 4/0 Garchomp with 3 hits through Yache Berry. Rock Slide always OHKO 4/0 Charizard Y. Earthquake for EdgeQuake Combo and to Demolish Megas like Mega Mawile and Mega Lucario. Icicle Crash if I wanted to go for the Flinch.

Catnipz (Gardevoir) (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Telepathy
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Def / 60 SAtk / 20 SDef / 60 Spd
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball

Catnipz the sexy Gardevoir joins in to save the day. With Specs she puts a lot of pressure on the opponent. 252 HP /116 Def Bold is here to live 252+ Gale Wings Banded Brave Bird from Talonflame. 252 HP/20 SDef lives 252+ Shadow Ball from Aegislash. Speed EVs are there to outspeed 12 Speed EVs Rotom-W. The rest is in SAtk to hit harder. Dazzling Gleam and Psyshock for STAB, Shadow Ball for Ghosts like Aegislash, Chandelure and Trevenant. Energy Ball to 2HKO bulky Rotom-Wash. Credits to [Tanzying][4]

Aeternis (Rotom-Heat) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 108 Def / 4 SAtk / 116 SDef / 28 Spd
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Will-O-Wisp
- Thunderbolt
- Protect

A spread giving by a random dude on Pokémon Showdown. It works great. 252 HP / 108 Def makes a Rock Slide from Jolly Garchomp a 3HKO with Sitrus Berry counted in. Rotom-Wash his Hydro Pump is a 2HKO with 252 HP / 116 SDef. Rest dumped in Speed and Special Attack. Overheat and Thunderbolt as STAB. Also to take care of ChloroSaur and Charizard Y. Will O Wisp to let me handle Mega Kangkaskahn and Mixed Aegislash easier.

Sassy_Little_Mawile (Mawile) (F) @ Mawilite
Ability: Intimidate -> Huge Power
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Atk / 4 Def / 180 SDef / 20 Spd
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 SAtk
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Play Rough
- Protect

This set seems a little odd compared to 252 HP/ 252 Atk/ 4 SDef. I have a certain reason for this set. With Careful and 180 SpDef EVs, Timid 252 SpAtk Choice Specs Salamence does 85.3 – 100.6 % with Fire Blast (6.3 % chance to OHKO) and Mawile can OHKO back with Play Rough at -1 Atk. Modest 252 SpAtk Charizard-Y does 77.7 – 92.9 % with Heat Wave outside of Sun Timid 252 SpAtk Choice Specs Salamence does 85.3 – 100.6 % with Fire Blast (6.3 % chance to OHKO) and Mawile can OHKO back with Play Rough at -1 Atk. Modest 252 SpAtk Charizard-Y does 77.7 – 92.9 % with Heat Wave outside of Sun. While Mega Mawile does at least 52% with Sucker Punch vs Charizard Y. The 52 Atk EVs let Mawile OHKO 252 HP Tyranitar 93.8 % of the time with Play Rough. The Speed EVs were just for speed creeping other Mawiles. Credits to [Ray Rizzo][7]

Sempiternus (Amoonguss) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 172 SDef
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spd
- Giga Drain
- Protect
- Spore
- Rage Powder

Yes, everyone gets his turn to hit Sempiternus. I mean the Amoonguss, not the user. Amoonguss is quite solid. being able to redirect moves like Hydro Pumps and Status.
Standard moveset and standard EVS. This makes me able to underspeed everything in Trick Room, due his nature and IVs it reaches 31 Speed. Enough for Early Sporing against Trick Room teams.

MrKijani (Conkeldurr) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 244 HP / 160 Atk / 52 Def / 52 SDef
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 SAtk / 0 Spd
- Drain Punch
- Payback
- Mach Punch
- Detect

Kijani, I can count on him when needed. I just copy pasted him from my old VGC 2013 team because I was so fond of him. Only changed the item for some more raw power and to shut down Spore spammers. Fighting + Dark gave me amazing neutral coverage. Brave + 0 Speed IVs to underspeed in Trick Room. 252 HP/52 Def to tank -1 252+ Banded Brave Bird from Talonflame. 252 HP/52 SDef to tank Hydro Pump in Rain from Politoed.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading!

Awesome team <3
That Rotom-H spread is incredibly similar to one I crafted a while ago. T'was a great Rotom-H.... but the rest of my team was crap :p
what about me :c
What about you?
I luv it ^^
The only good thing I ever did in VGC was an epic Weavile play and Latias Helping Hand making Beartic sweep, along with a decent Genesect core I made but didn't RMT. All of them in Gen 5. Damn, can't wait to get back into doubles again :P
