Gyarados @ Wacan Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 20 Atk / 140 Def / 96 SpDef
Impish Nature
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave
- Waterfall
- Protect
This is my MVP and intimidate support. Because my overall team lacks in speed, it's important to try and spread thunder wave with this guy. The EV's are an experiment where i settled with this particular spread. It's not designed to take any specific attacks, but rather to have a good general bulk on both sides with a slight investment into attack just to hit a little bit harder when it's desired. Even though i'm not planning to stay in against opposing Rotoms, the wacan berry helps when i would have to do that.
Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Protect
- Rock Slide
Standard 'Chomp is standard. Rocky Helmet was chosen to punish Mega-Kangaskhan more than anything, but also various physical attackers who go for him.
Venusaur-Mega @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 220 HP / 4 Def / 140 SAtk / 76 SDef / 68 Spd
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Sleep Powder
Venusar is my mega, and this version is a lot more offensive than some opponents might expect. Leaf storm guarantees OHKO on specially defensive Rotom-W and EV's lets him outspeed 4 Speed Rotom-W.
Rotom-Heat @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 180 SAtk / 12 SDef / 60 Spd
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Will-o-Wisp
- Overheat
- Protect
Rotom-H works well with this team as he can take earthquakes aimed at Garchomp, checks fairy-types, Mamoswine and Talonflame. EV's are tailored around OHKO'ing Careful Mawile, and outspeeding adamant max-speed Tyranitar. Safety Goggles are there to protect against spore and sleep powder as well as the common sandstorm residual damage from Tyranitar.
Machamp @ Lum Berry
Trait: No Guard
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- DynamicPunch
- Protect
- Stone Edge
- Wide Guard
Machamp is my first alternate, and his objective is to wide guard if i see a lot of potential rock slide and heat wave usage on the opposing team. EV's were changed to maximize offensive output and bulk. Speed investment is unnecessary since i want him to be able to operate under opponents trick room. Lum berry makes the most sense after Turnips suggestion because he is often a target for Will-o-Wisp.
Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 172 SAtk / 4 Atk / 4 Def / 76 SDef
Quiet Nature
IVs: 20 Spd
- Shadow Ball
- Sacred Sword
- Substitute
- King's Shield
Aegislash replaced Sableye for a solid fairy-counter and special attacker. Substitute is intended for sucker punches from mega Kangaskhan and Mawile's to get in an advantageous position. The spread is a known VGC spread to survive various common threats and at the same time being able to OHKO most psychic and ghost-types.
That said, this spot is still a bit up in the air. I'm considering choice-scarf Gardevoir for the same spot. She provides a different, but similarly potent typing for my team. And fills the "fast special attacker"-void.
Wouldn't mind someones opinion on these two specifically.
