Until recently my mono water team didn't have much problems getting wins (or at least close losses) but know it seems too easy to counter. As such any help would be appreciated.

My rapid spinner, allows Cloyster to come in unhindered and acts as a special wal. Liquid Ooze punishes Leech Sed Users while the Acid Spray debuff either causes a switch or makes Scald devastating.

A long time lynchpin of my water team, the standard Calm Mind, Rest and Sleep Talk strategy still works but now there seems to be dedicated counters. Scald is more lethal then original choice Surf thanks to the chance of a burn

A strong degensive pivot thanks to electric resistance and Volt Switch. Ice Beam covers its ground weakness and Heal Bell removes the negative effects of burns and ever present Toxic attacks

No one suspects a Defensive Azumarill! Sap Sipper helps out against grass teams and Toxic helps harass foes even more. Amnesia, Sub and Leftovers are there to increase longevity.

I thought Protean was banned in Monotype?
Surely you mean Focus Sash instead of Band with Cloyster...
