This is a really good team for a mono-ghost so here's a few things you could consider changing:

Banette
Banette has this incredible ability once it goes mega known as prankster, (hopefully you are thinking trololol with this thing) It has +1 Priority confuse ray at it's disposal so why not use it? I would recomend replaceing protect with this. You could also use will-o-wisp instead and turn banette into a staller

Trevenant
Nice moveset for a good stall, beware of prankster taunters because they will ruin this.

Aegislash
This is a pure sweeper and will get you alot of wins if used properly, once again beware taunt

Froslass
No. Just no. That will not work, period. so try this:
Froslass (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 HP /252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Blizzard
-Shadow Ball
-Destiny bond
-Pain Split

Cofagrigus
Will serve you well as a Trick Room setter and will sweep until Trick Room runs out

Gengar
I can see the strategy you plan to use this for many times and it probably won't work unless you can set it up against something it will work against such as Kangaskhan. And don't you already have enough pokemon carrying Will-O-Wisp? It is a good move I agree but this is a bit much... Also this Gengar has incredible sweeping potential so why not use it? I recomend this:
Gengar (M) @ Life orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 spA / 252 spe
Tmid Nature
- Hypnosis
- Dream Eater
- Shadow ball
- Sludge wave

Overall I would say good team though there is no weakness coverage beware of Dark. To counter this might I sugest using a physical set of froslass with wake up slap to be used after gengars Hypnosis? And also beware taunt. Alot of your team has a stall strategy and that could be your defeat

The Froslass set you suggested doesn't work.
What he said. The Froslass he is using is far superior to the Froslass he is using and he should keep it that way.
Also, when you are running Life Orb Gengar, you don't run 28 HP, and if you do decide to run 28 HP, you might as well run the entire EV spread as the one you are currently running is even invalid as you have 28 EVs too much and you haven't deducted it from the 252 in both stats you have invested. The 28 HP Evs come with the entire EV spread of: 28 HP / 148 SpA / 80 SpD / 252 Spe, which was used to check Clefable, Mega Venusaur and some other stuff, but requires leftovers and the set he is running, aka as his Gengar isn't a special sweeper, which seems to be the only term people know nowadays. It is a Utility counter that can be very annoying to face, thus making it so great. Not every Pokemon needs to hit hard to be good. You saying it won't work just says that you have very limited information on what you are talking about.
Just my opinion that he does need at least one pokemon not trying to stall and that gengar is perfect for that.
Doesn't Hypnosis have really bad accuracy? Even then it wouldn't be hard for someone to switch out said sleeping Pokemon and switch into something Like Umbreon to pull off Heal Bell.  Since his team is going for status effects he could replace Will-O-Wisp with Hex right?
Also, that Cofagrigus set is a Trick Room Sweeper set. So is that Aegislash set, he has two sweepers.
