Overview:

7 Braviary: Guess what, he hides an afro behind that red indian crown ('o'). It also hides some potential as a Defiant user, being a hybrid between Talonflame and Bisharp. Although this messes up it's role a bit (can't do what T-flame or Bisharp does properly enough), Braviary actually isn't all that bad when placed well. He's my MVP, and is able to outspeed Landorus-Therian with this spread, which is an important benchmark for any Defiant user. I did skip out on Return though, the coverage just looked attractive.

8 Manectric: Another not-so-common face in VGC, Manectric is mainly here for it's monstrous speed and Intimidate. That's the only reason I run it over Raikou, being the better choice. It's got the vanilla 252/252/4 spread because it really doesn't live anything with it's defenses, so you might as well entirely focus on offenses. Protect, aside from it's basic fundamentals, also gives Manectric a turn's grace to mega-evolve and gain it's speed / ability.

9 Terrakion: Enter the beast! Terrakion is well known in VGC for it's amazing stats and offenses. It's got it's weaknesses that compound into the team, but it's STAB is nearly unresisted. Lum gives it the ability to absorb status once, and Double Kick is to break Substitutes and Focus Sashes.

10 Bisharp: Say, for some reason you see that Braviary is going to end up being a drag to carry along, what would you do? Bring it along anyways? Or keep it back, and risk Intimidate? Here's the better solution: have a second Defiant user to patch up what Braviary doesn't. Namely Bisharp. Simple and basic VGC spread, which everyone uses and so will I.

11 Gengar: Gengar-Terrakion-Bisharp is a common offensive cores these days, and I've incorporated it into this team. Gengar is my usual answer to physical attackers, and Fairy types like Whimsicott and Sylveon. Nothing much to say about the spread, it's living anything and everything with a Sash (save residual damage). I might want to run Taunt instead of Shadow Ball, though I'm not sure.

12 Suicune: Speed control is always something you want on a team, and is welcomed everywhere. Suicune gives me speed control. But since I don't need heavy speed control with Tailwind (as I do have quite speedy pokemon) I opted Icy Wind as the other choice. This gives me a good match-up against Taunt pokemon and Landorus (if it's Scarfed, it's slowed; whereas if Yache then it loses it's item). Suicune is also my primary bulk on the team.

Upon tests here are the problems I enountered:

  • A Fighting type weakness
  • Weak to Sylveon
  • Walled by Cresselia

So that was my long-awaited second VGC team! Really in a matter of 5 months it's only my second so far xD. Please rate if possible!

Nice team, plus originale. Mega Manectric is overlooked imo.

• Fighting weakness? With a resist and an immunity? I should think you'd have more trouble with your Ground weakness. If Fighting is really that much of a problem, I would suggest switching for Raikou if you want to keep the same type synergy. He gets the rather niche Extrasensory, which combined with his bulk and decent speed tier make him a decent alternative.

• Sylveon seems to be checked pretty well by Bisharp and Gengar.

• Cress is a major problem if you don't bring Bisharp. Here are some counters off the top of my head:

Crawdaunt
Mega Gengar
Aegislash
Chandelure
Rotom-H

Let me know what you think of these suggestions. If I were to rate this team, what is your preference for the amount of Pokémon changed?
Ground types aren't typically a problem cuz I scare them off in team preview itself xD (they get side typings 90% of the time as well, which I can take advantage of).
Fighting types though (majorly Breloom / Machamp / Terrakion / Scrafty); there's just one Pokemon i.e Braviary that can hit them all hard, and I won't be bringing Braviary every time because of them. They're the usual crowd I'll end up facing most of the time.

Sylveon do carry HP Ground these days tho, so I usually have many mind games with them. Oh and if you were to rate it, try and keep the replacements minimum ^_^". Maybe about two mons, but not Braviary pls no no no no xD
Dun worry, Braviary is safe ^-^
K I may need a Trick Room counter. Taunt on Gengar seems like a good choice suddenly, maybe instead of Protect.
Dedicated Trick Room setters have a notable chance of carrying Mental Herb (unless you're Aromatisse), so Taunt could sort of backfire. Have you considered TR Gengar as tech? Your hyperspeed Pokémon will be crippled if the opponent gets TR up; Gengar is a decent check to TR since it can set up its own and reverse the opponent's. He also beats out every common TR setter (Cresselia, Aromatisse, Jellicent, etc.)
