Pokémon Rate My Team

(peaked 1620, it's meh but we were only playing casually. We'd probably be top 3 if we'd been really trying with the team)

This team is a flawless piece of art, a masterpiece that would amaze even Lord Verlisify himself (praise be). I made the team with a good friend of mine, and we wanted to make a team using one of the most underrated, top OU threats in the current meta: Dedenne itself. After that, we just slapped on 5 other pokemon, but they in reality all pale in comparison to their electric rat teammate. This post is meant for all those new players who want to use a team that can let them peak the ladder with the least amount of effort, as it's practically impossible to lose with this team.

Raikou is Bad (Dedenne) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Cheek Pouch
EVs: 248 HP / 92 Def / 160 SpD / 8 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Toxic
- Super Fang/Entrainment
- Recycle

First on the lineup, as I mentioned, if none other than DeDank itself. Has enough speed to outspeed bisharp and Volcanion, enough defence to live life orb weavile icicle crash after rocks as well as life orb latios psyshock. It doesn't get 2hkod by specs secret sword from keldeo, and the spdef evs means you live 2 specs scalds from keldeo if you don't get burned (after sitrus+cheek pouch). Dedenne serves as a tornadus quote-unquote "counter" (because those don't actually exist), as well as a counter to pretty much every electric type in the game. It doesn't get ohkod by hyper voice or psyshock from mega gardevoir, and it's a role on the 2hko (after berry-pouch). I may later swap out super fang for Entrainment, no joke, because it lets you actually counter clefable which is pretty hilarious.

X Gon Give it to ya (Charizard-Mega-X) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 248 HP / 100 Def / 144 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost
- Outrage

After choosing the most broken pokemon in the game, Dedenne, I had to choose the second most broken pokemon in the game to pair with it. That being zard X. Mega zard x is just a ridiculous mega, with the standard "counter" to it being a landorus that can only switch into flare blitz comfortably once. We originally used dragon dance over outrage, and even tested with EQ for some games. But we ended up having too much trouble with bulky waters like crocune and manaphy so we changed to outrage for enough dammage to actually threaten those pokemon. Wisp is always just a really nice move, and puts pressure on common switch ins to zard like landorus, quagsire and hippowdon. The phys def evs means we don't get 2hkod by weavile icicle crash, and the spdef evs means we dont get 2kod by charizard y focus blast.

Unban Incarnate (Landorus-Therian) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- U-turn

Standard lando-t. Basically a driller and talon answer. Serves as the hazard setter of the team. And of coarse gives momentum into the monsters: DeDank and Zard.

Nerf Genji (Starmie) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Reflect Type
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Scald

Reflect type starmie isn't that common anymore but I still love the pokemon. It lets you beat ferrothorn 1v1, thus preventing hazards. It lets you not get pursuit trapped by ttar and bisharp. Also lets you reflect type on magnezone which is neat. For anybody who doesn't know, although this should be common knowledge by this point, starmie outspeeds scarf magnezone. The important thing over all, it starmie spins on the majority of rockers in the tier, which helps zard a lot.

Hurrican't Hit (Tornadus-Therian) @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Torn is here for a bit more momentum and a heck of a lot more dammage.... on paper. Because hurricane doesn't actually land in real life. I should probably switch knock for focus blast, but I like being able to knock chansey off.

In Range of Flinch (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Heart Stamp
- Healing Wish
- U-turn

Last pokemon should be self explanatory. You click iron head and kill everything. But real talk, I needed a scarfer, I needed a steel type, I needed momentum and I needed team support. Jirachi covers all those bases.

Entry hazards. Your terrible team cannot deal well with that. Dedenne, on the other hand, is not, by any means, a tank.
we got that rapid spin starmie boys
If it switches into the right moves, almost anything can be a tank.
see? sumwun understands.
