Thanks for previous feedback (again)!
Hello once again all,
I've experimented with a couple of cores and teams and types thereof, and I think this one might work, It's a M-Gallade and Bisharp build, and I think it is a HO team? It's very common, I've seen it quite a few times beforehand. They make great type synergy, and can cover each others C&Cs pretty well, the main problem with Bisharp is fighting types, and the rest of my team can't really cover that weakness all that well. I usually resort to secondary types to deal with those pesky buggers. Someone before told me that my team would be weak against Mega-Charizard Y and possibly Keldeo, so that is why Latias has Thunderbolt. Also, if people don't mind giving tips to using physical sweepers, that would be great, because Gallade only sometimes makes it onto the battlefield, and when he does, he usually gets taken out before he gets a chance to sweep.
Here it is:
Sam (Gallade-Mega) @ Galladite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Ice Punch
- Close Combat
- Psycho Cut
Here he is, what is supposed to be my main attacker (doesn't usually work out that way). Just what you'd expect, a fast physical sweeper. I want him to be able to out-speed most things, and it usually tends to work out. I think I might change the moveset a little to help Bisharp here, and the reason why I like psycho-cut here is that it has 100% accuracy, which means a lot to me because I don't have the best of luck most of the time. (grumble 16 recycles, no paralyzation from Twave with lvl 1 magnemite troll grumble)
Ruth (Volcarona) (F) @ Passho Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
- Giga Drain
- Fiery Dance
So the reason why I put on a passho berry was because I love trolling water types who think they're so strong that they can take out Volcarona in one shot (if they have hydro pump, well, I'm screwed), and then get em back with giga drain. Apart from that, the rest are STAB moves that help Volcarona be a secondary pair to the core, and also a special sweeper. I'm having trouble deciding between Flamethrower and Fiery Dance on this because both have their advantages, but I probably should go with flamethrower. (Again, not Fire Blast because of the accuracy. grudge)
Mike (Landorus-Therian) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Stealth Rock
This is the guy I usually start my matches off in, I could go for stone edge instead of knock off, but I like seeing pokemon that are dependent on their item smashed by him. Stealth rock is just there to set up entry hazards when need be, and U-turn because sometimes i get into an unfavorable matchup. Makes a great V-turn pair with Rotom-W
Rifka (Bisharp) (F) @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Pursuit
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
Here's Rifka, the other half of my "core" (I really can't seem to use it), but she covers most of M-Gallade's weaknesses, all while holding her own, mostly. Fighting types are usually a real problem here, but Sam can take care of those with relative ease, might want to get zen headbutt just in case (is the accuracy worth it?) And I probably rely WAY too much on Sucker Punch, but that's my own problem.
Amelia (Latias) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Healing Wish
- Thunderbolt
- Defog
Amelia is here to serve as support with flying types, and really, anything that can threaten the group. She can give someone a second chance at sweeping when her health is low (although, I really miss recover on her, sniff), and also clear hazards (namely stealth rock from hurting Volcarona, I found that out the hard way)
and a powerful STAB attack that has missed multiple times but is just too great to be true. I wish i could make her a real combatant (she's honestly the one on the field the most, and she's also one of my favorite pokemon).
Alex (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
Here to be my tank, Alex provides burn support which helps the team with most physical threats (although that accuracy is just horrid), Makes a nice V-turn team with Mike, and can really wear down HP tanks. Hydro pump is there for STAB (again, I hate the accuracy).
I also was thinking of getting a force-switcher to help with foes whom I hate, but I can't find any room for it.
Thanks for reading this long and your time.
