Singles or doubles? Are there any Pokemon, moves, or abilities that are banned?
This was purely meant to be for singles but what would you advise me use this team for. This is my first competitive team so I didn’t bother adding EV’s
So you can use any Kanto Pokemon, even Mewtwo?
Yes, you may but I don’t like using legendaries too much
Nidoking and Alakazam should have 0 Attack IVs; They are Special Attackers and don't really need the extra Attack, especially when it makes Confusion and Foul Play do more damage, and Vileplume heal more from Strength Sap.

Don't use Magnet Rise on Jolteon: it is too situational. Use another special move instead. Protect may work better than Agility because you defend from an attack and get burned, to Double Speed and Facade's damage. Or use Toxic to wither away bulky threats.

Alakazam's Substitute is probably not as good as any move you can teach it, especially because of Alakazam's Mediocre HP and Defenses, as well as not having a good move to abuse with it, like Calm Mind. If you want to use substitute for Blocking status conditions, use Calm Mind Instead of Encore. If not, Teach it another damaging move (Probably Shadow Ball) and Calm Mind.

Don't put Rain dance on Poliwrath if it holds a Choice Band. :P

Don't put Swords Dance on Pinsir if it holds a Choice Scarf. :P

Just a few suggestions. :P
Really good team. If you want you can change pinsir with heracross
Thank you very much Stakatacool for that great feedback. I've considered all of your recommendations and modified my team.

Still, is there anything I can do to improve?
From what I know about competitve Pokemon, this seems like a pretty good team, seeing as it's Kanto only. However, it would be nice if you provided the EVs; those can really make or break your team.

umm first thing great team. but i would like to know what ev's you put on which pokemon. the jolteon is great but i think you should remove agility for something like shadow ball or maybe signal beam if your into that since your already fast enough. and for the pinsir i think you should have imprish for the pinsir to set up the sword dance since you have a choice scarf you don't need a jolly nature. this is just my opinion so don't get mad plz

Thanks for the feedback, I’ve taken the jolteon improvements into consideration and replaced agility with shadow ball and I’ve changed pinsrs nature to impish. Also, like I have said earlier, I haven’t placed EV’s into consideration as this is my first competitive team.
Isnt Adamant better for that
First of all, there is no need for adamant nature as my pinsrs attack stat is already high plus my swords danced boost and it’s already got a powerful attack anyways. It’s good to have some sort of bulk in Pinsr because it’s not a very fast Pokémon compared to other bug types
very nice myguy69 i hope my advise helped and could help with the other teams
There is a need of need for an Adamant nature, since Choice Scarf will Prevent you from using two attacks together (by forcing you to repeat the same move over and over). If you use Swords Dance while you hold a Choice Scarf, You'll be locked into the move Swords Dance until Pinsir dies switches out, runs out of PP and struggles, or loses it's item; meaning Swords Dance isn't going to do anything for you while Pinsir holds a Choice Scarf. :P
