Hey Everybody! Welcome to a new RMT I like to call "The Coming Apocalypse" based around one of my favourite sets - Substitute Kartana!! Wow! I hope you enjoy reading about it, and please go and try out SubDance Kartana - it will blow your mind!

`================================================================================================

Papyrus (Kartana) @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Beast Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword

Kartana. This thing is ridiculously overpowered! After a Substitute and Swords Dance, I have seen it destroy entire teams! Leaf Blade is the obligatory STAB, and Sacred Sword is really good coverage. After a kill, Beast Boost lets Kartana snowball, plus the Aguav Berry is for recovery after 3 Substitutes. It's a pretty standard EV spread, with Max Attack, Max Speed and the last 4 dumped into HP because where else could it go? Kartana is also the basis of one of the strongest Fire / Water / Grass cores I've ever seen (and used!).

Aquarius (Tapu Fini) @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 60 HP / 252 SpA / 196 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Taunt
- Moonblast
- Defog

We-ell... Tapu Fini seemed like an obvious choice to complement Kartana. Its Water / Fairy typing synergises almost perfectly with Kart, who absorbs Poison moves, while Fini easily takes Fire and Fighting moves. It serves as the resident Defogger here, and the EV spread allows it to outspeed Defensive Landorus-Therian and Taunt it to stop the Stealth Rock coming at me. Max SpA lets me hit hard with Scald and Moonblast, while the last 60 were dumped into Health to hoefully live some hits better.

Jafar (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 244 Atk / 68 Def / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Defog

I chose Landorus as the main speed control Pokemon on the team. With Choice Scarf, he outspeeds every single Pokemon in OU and also has the Attack Stat of a SMALL ISLAND to back this up. It also acts as the Defogger of the team. With the given EVs, I outspeed Mega Alakazam and also live 2 Acrobatics from Hawlucha. The rest were placed in Atk to hit as hard as possible.

Helios (Volcarona) (M) @ Psychium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Fiery Dance
- Giga Drain
- Psychic

This is a fairly standard Psychium Z Volcarona. It finishes the FWG core, and has also been known to sweep teams. Roost is for healing, and Fiery Dance is for STAB and boosting up. Giga Drain kills pesky Rock-Types, and Psychic unleashes Shattered Psyche. Its Max Speed and Max Special Attack to hit as hard and fast as possible. It is 4x weak to Steal Rock, so when using this team it's imperative that i either a) Block the rocks entirely with Taunt or b) Defog them away with Fini or Landorus.

Aster (Jirachi) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Serene Grace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Wish
- Protect
- U-turn

Aster is the Rocker of the team. It's also more of a support variant, with Wish and Protect for healing. U-Turn is for switching and healing the main wallbreakers such as Landorus or Diancie. I chose a Max HP set for maximum healing with Wish, and Max Speed to fire off Stealth Rock or indeed Wish before going down. I also recommend using it as death fodder if you are in the endgame and setting up for a Kartana or Volcarona sweep.

Paige (Diancie-Mega) @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Protect
- Earth Power
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm

Diancie is the Mega of the team, and is seriously underrated in OU. Protect is for Mega Evolving safely and for scouting moves, while Moonblast and Diamond Storm are mixed STABs. Earth Power forms EdgeQuake with Diamond Storm and is also decent coverage. Magic Bounce is what makes me use this as a lead, and it has blocked Clefables entirely. Its a bog-standard EV spread, max Special Attack and Max Speed, and makes her hit LIKE A SMALL ISLAND!

Thanks for reading, and goodbye!
