I’ve grown interest in finding Pokémon that are not very well known competitively and turning them into decent fighters. So far, I have come up with something very unusual.
(The format is single battles in the battle stadium, all Pokémon legal, levels set 50)

Vileplume @ Black Sludge
Nature = Bold (+Def, -Attack)
Ability = Chlorophyll
Move Set
-Leech Seed
-Sludge Bomb
-Giga Drain
-Protect

Hydreigon @ Lum Berry
Nature = Timid (+Speed, -Attack)
Ability = Levitate
Move Set
-U-Turn
-Sunny Day
-Dark Pulse
-Dragon Pulse

This strategy involves sending in Hydreigon first. If the target is threatening, then immediately use Sunny Day and then U-Turn into Vileplume. Otherwise get a few hits in first. I then will use Vileplume to Leech Seed and stall out with Giga Drain and Protect. Please tell me if this is a horrific strategy or is actually okay in competitive.

I think you should use nintales over hydreigon and give strength sap to vileplume
Alright, that sounds good. I’ll try it.
