This is my first Gen 8 Showdown! team so.... I was wondering if I did good on it.

Pyro (Cinderace) (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Court Change
- High Jump Kick
- Sucker Punch
- Gunk Shot

So, basically just a Limbero Cinderace. Heavy-Duty Boots are to ignore Stealth Rock from Tyranitar, Jolly is for a boost in speed, and the EVs are pretty normal, 4 SpDef for a bit more of a chance against special water attacks. Court Change is a pretty good move, in my opinion. HJK is for Rock types, like, again, Tyranitar. Sucker Punch is priority that hits Dragapult for SE damage. Gunk Shot hits Fairy types, something Sucker Punch and HJK can’t. And, of course, all of it is STAB so I see no use for a Fire move.

Maxi (Togekiss) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Dazzling Gleam
- Flamethrower

My Paraflincher. Leftovers are for healing, and the EVs make it hit as hard and fast as possible. Air Slash is for the flinching and it’s STAB, which works great with Serene Grace. Thunder Wave makes sure you can out speed your opponent, so that you can actually flinch them. Dazzling Gleam is also STAB, again, it hits Dragapult and Tyranitar. Flamethrower is to take out steel types such as Ferrothorn, which will sometimes carry Gyro Ball.

Dex (Toxapex) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Haze
- Toxic Spikes
- Scald
- Recover

My Toxic Staller. Black Sludge is for healing, just in case Trick comes into play, it is better than Leftovers. The EVs are more specially defense oriented, so I chose Bold to even its defenses out. Haze it to stop set up sweepers. Toxic Spikes are for entry hazards, and Toxapex is bulky enough to set up 2 layers, most of the time. Scald is for the slight burn chance in case I’m up against a poison type. Recover is for stalling.

Joker (Grimmsnarl) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 8 Atk / 248 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spirit Break
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Thunder Wave

My dual screener. He’s my lead, as he can inflict paralysis and set up screens so my sweepers can work safely. Light Clay is to extend the time of Light Screen and Reflect. The EVs make him bulky, and 8 Attack allows him to hit for decent damage with his high raw attack stat. Prankster is for priority screens and T-Wave. Spirit Break is so he’s not shut down by taunt, plus it lowers Special Attack, making him more bulky. Light Screen is to halve special damage, and Reflect is for halving physical damage. Thunder Wave is to slow down the opponent, and it works well with Togekiss’s Air Slash.

Shadow (Dragapult) (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- U-turn

My special sweeper. I’ve always used physical Dragapult, but I went for a special set this time. Choice Specs are for increased power, and Infiltrator is for Pokémon that like to hide behind substitutes, or other teams that have Dual Screens set up. The EVs are pretty normal, and Timid is for the speed boost. Dragon Pulse is STAB, and I don’t like getting the special attack drop from Draco Meteor. Shadow Ball is for more STAB. Fire Blast is my choice of coverage, and it hits Ferrothorn hard. U-Turn pairs well with the Choice Scarf, and it’s attack is still pretty decent even with Timid.

CM (Conkeldurr) (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Stone Edge
- Payback

My physical sweeper. Flame Orb is for the Guts boost, raising its attack to insane levels. The EVs make him hit as hard as possible while being able to take a hit. Brave is for Payback, as well as no speed IVs. Drain Punch is STAB, and it heals burn damage. Mach Punch is priority STAB. Stone Edge hits Flying types, though Corviknight only takes neutral damage from Stone Edge, as well as the rest of this set. Payback hits Ghosts like Gengar super effectively.

So, there’s my team. Hope it’s good....

Cinderace: I don't think Gunk Shot is super necessary, since the only prominent Fairy type in the tier is Clefable, which gets 2HKO'd by Pyro Ball. If you still want to keep Gunk Shot, put Pyro Ball in place of Court Change, as putting Toxic Spikes on your side is not a good idea. My final set I came up with though, was this:

Pyro (Cinderace) (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Libero
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- High Jump Kick
- Sucker Punch
- Bulk Up

Togekiss: Since you had screens without a set up sweeper (edited the Togekiss set in Showdown! before the Cinderace set), I thought that Nasty Plot replacing Dazzling Gleam on Togekiss would be good. Air Slash would be the main STAB of choice, Thunder Wave can annoy things that cannot be broken through with Togekiss, Nasty Plot would be the set up of choice, and Flamethrower would take care of steel types that resist Air Slash and are immune to Toxic Spikes.

Toxapex and Grimmsnarl are both good.

Dragapult: I think Draco Meteor should replace Dragon Pulse for extra power, but if Dragon Pulse works for you, keep it.

Conkeldurr: I'd suggest this set instead.

CM (Conkeldurr) (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Facade
- Knock Off

I changed the EVs to be able to outspeed bulky Pokemon, mostly Clefable, because truth be told, a Facade after the Guts boost can OHKO Clefable. Knock Off can get rid of Corviknight's Leftovers, and your Fighting STAB will be extra useful on the turn Corviknight roosts, because it will lose its Flying type temporarily.

Overall, you did a pretty good job with this team. If you haven't played an OU match at all, Clefable is basically the best Pokemon in the tier, so it's good to have a Clefable check...or two.

Hope this helped!

Omg I forgot that Facade existed when I made this team. It’s what I run on my Battle Tower Conkeldurr :O

I also forgot I had Toxic Spikes+ Court Change. Where was my brain during the team building process....

Also, thanks!
no problem!
