Latios WP Screens HO

(Click on the name for the Pokepaste)

Latios (M) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Agility
- Stored Power
- Aura Sphere
I wanted to build a team around Stored Power Latios. Agility is good for outspeeding a lot of things, and Aura Sphere is very useful for hitting Dark and Steel-types. Weakness Policy really helps Stored Power get going, and Calm Mind is further setup.

Mew @ Focus Sash
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Explosion
Every good HO needs a suicide lead, and Focus Sash is helpful for setting up one last hazard before Mew dies, or for exploding. Spikes and Stealth Rock are hazards, and Explosion does good damage if I have already set up all the hazards.

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
Bisharp is a great physical attacker, and it has quite a lot of Dark-type moves so I gave it Black Glasses. Knock Off and Iron Head are good STABs, and Swords Dance is setup.

Grimmsnarl (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Taunt
- Spirit Break
Grimmsnarl is my screens setter, and Light Clay is very helpful because it keeps the dual screens up for longer. Light Screen and Reflect are dual screens, which are useful so Latios takes less damage if Weakness Policy gets triggered.

Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Flamethrower
- Bug Buzz
- Psychic
Volcarona is a great special attacker, with Quiver Dance as setup and Flamethrower and Bug Buzz as STAB. Psychic is good coverage for things such as Toxapex, and Heavy-Duty Boots helps Volcarona not take a ton of damage from Stealth Rock.

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Aqua Jet
- U-turn
Urshifu-Rapid-Strike is a good band attacker, and Surging Strikes and Close Combat are both good STABs. Aqua Jet is good for finishing off an opponent and U-turn is for pivoting. Urshifu is a great physical attacker in addition to Bisharp and punches holes in the opponent's team.

Corviknight is one thing I'm struggling with as it can tank most of my hits then heal back with Roost.

I would maybe replace calm mind for roost on Latinos. Any setup sweeper should have reliable recovery IMO, even if you have screens (if you’re running WP the whole strategy revolves around getting hit for SE damage).  Agility can stay because speed control is also important but honestly you could just remove speedy threats by replacing CB on urshifu with a scarf and try to set up the win with Latios that way instead (and run Draco Meteor or something instead).
I did replace Urshifu with Garchomp though.
