Chien-Pao @ Choice Band
Ability: Sword of Ruin
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Sacred Sword
- Crunch
This is inarguably one of the big 4 of OU right now (palafin, cyclizar, iron bundle, and this guy). Weavile on several different combinations of illegal substances. Probably my main terastilizer.
Chi-Yu @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Beads of Ruin
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Nasty Plot
- Substitute
SubPlot Chi-Yu + Corviknight is an actually genius strategy. It goes like this. Corviknight comes in. The opponent sends in Gholdengo to block defogger. I send in chi-yu and he switches out (unless he's scarfed). I sub up and/or nasty plot while they probably switch to a specs or scarf check. Then just click a stab move, win probably. Even if you can't subplot, it's really strong.
Corviknight @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog
I explained some of its role in the description for chi-yu. Defog is nice for letting Chien-Pao come in more often, and for preventing Garganacl and Scream Tail from being run over. U turn is helpful for bringing in the big guns.
Garganacl @ Leftovers
Ability: Purifying Salt
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Salt Cure
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Recover
This pokemon is fantastic. An incredible wall which checks Pokemon like Dragapult, EKiller Dragonite, Roaring Moon, Kilowattrel, Maushold, and others. Iron Defense + Body Press turns it into a nice win condition, and Salt Cure lets it threaten wear things down.
Scream Tail @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power
- Substitute
- Dazzling Gleam
I think Scream Tail is rather underrated in this metagame. Garganacl resisting Ghost and Poison complements Scream Tail's resistance to fighting and Ability to beat Pokemon like Meowscarada, Amoonguss (can't switch into Spore), and Toxapex. It can set up on stuff and sweep.
Breloom @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Spore
- Bulldoze
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
I think the least important Pokemon here, but everyone runs hyper offense so priority is broken.
I have some doubts: for example, Chi-Yu maybe not being fast enough to pull of subplot, and Choice scarf gholdengo can beat Chi-Yu, but I'm pretty sure the nasty plot variant is more common when paired with glimmora so it might not be that important. Maybe I should go scarf chi-yu?
