Pokémon Rate My Team

Alright so I made this team in gen8, actually before I had heard of showdown! so it may not be fully optimized for showdown! but anyways it works pretty not badly but I think it could be better. By the way, I didn't use stuff like choice items or status moves because they were never great in game, and I originally made judgements on it with stuff that works good ingame I guess. Also, it was mostly based off of the moveset questions here on pokébase. Ok here we go.

Oracle (Delphox) (M) @ Wise Glasses
Ability: Blaze
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Dazzling Gleam
- Hex
- Psychic
I of course picked a starter for my first one, as all teams I've ever had in game have had starters at the head of the team. It was either gonna be charizard or Delphox but I chose Delphox because a it doesn't have a double weakness 2 it's a fox and I like foxes and d there is no d. The moveset is basically the best moves with most coverage it gets, with flamethrower instead of fire blast because it has better accuracy.

Landshark (Garchomp) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Stone Edge
Garchomp is a pretty good pseudo-legendary. I could probably replace him with landorus-t but that loses the insane amount of health they lose with rough skin and Rocky helm. I could also replace dragon Claw with dual chop or outrage.

Good vibes (Lucario) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon
- Psychic
I need not explain why I've a Lucario. It's awesome, is yet another good special sweeper, and it's a wolf which looks kinda like a fox so yeah. Life orb because Lucarionite is banned from natdex.

UFO of doom (Magnezone) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Sturdy
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Thunder
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I honestly didn't like magnezone when I first made him, but he works out pretty well. Quiet cause he's got some bulk, and can take a hit or two. Could probably be switched to Modest though. I have legitimately killed a few landorus-ts who were swords dancing with hp ice.

Jumping Carp (Gyarados) (M) @ Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Ice Fang
Gyarados is really cool and plus I already had half my team special so I needed something physical. Gyaradosite because again, Lucarionite is banned.

Tyrannical reptile (Tyrantrum) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Rock Head
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Close Combat
- Outrage
- Head Smash
Sure, we've all heard of edgequake, but even better is smashquake! Tyrantrum was given rock head for the sole purpose of head Smash! The other moves are just powerful coverage.

As the team was originally made in gen8, there's not really a place for terastalization in it. So if you can think of a good place for it, please tell me. As I said earlier, my garchomp could be replaced by lando. Here's my moveset, but I haven't tested it yet so please help on that also.
Sky Tiger (Landorus-Therian) @ Groundium Z
Ability: Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Superpower

Also I need something to fill the zmove slot, so please help with that. Now since I need to charge my phone, that's it. Please help, constructive criticism severely appreciated, goodbye!

try using smogon for these movesets, these can be greatly improved with it
otherwise, time for me to improve this team based on my opinions

delphox:
run timid on it, delphox has an amazing speed tier at base 104, and max speed allows it to outspeed threats like landorus-t and the mega zards. as for moveset, replace hex with energy ball, and you could replace dgleam with trick as energy ball already covers tusk, although if you want to catch dragapult on the switch you could keep gleam.
other than that, great set!

garchomp:
run jolly. again, chomp has a great speed tier at 102, and this is more important considering the prevelance of mega zard y, allowing chomp to outspeed and stone edge it. as for moveset, i recommend choice band on it, as its high natural speed and great attack allows it dent a lot of mons on the spot. Another alternative is scale shot swords dance with rockium z for flying types, although there is a better sweeper down the line.

lucario:
t i m i d. max speed is crucial on tons of pokemon past base 80 speed, and lucario is no exception. outspeeding tusk in this meta is huge, and the rare specs glimmora is good to outspeed as well. modest is still viable tho as timid doesnt outspeed important other than those two.
as for moveset, i would say its decent. maybe a move can be replaced by vaccum wave for priority, but other than that i feel like this is solid
(this is coming from a person who has -1 experience using lucario)

magnezone:
zone is honestly hard to use in this meta. theres tusk, theres zard y, lando, heatran...
although...
with magnet pull, 252 hp 252 def 4 spa, bold nature, tera fighting, and a moveset of sub, body press, tbolt, and iron def, it is a great check to tera flying kingambit

mega gyarados:
ok. lets get right to the chase. d r a g o n d a n c e. replace dd over ice fang, you could have jolly or adamant idrk, and yeah.

tyrantrum:
honestly, i have no idea how to use this thing. the best advice i can give is to give it 252 speed, 252 attack, and 4 spd, then slot dragon dance over u turn and close combat over superpower.

hope you find this advice useful!

i agree with cdijk16, i guess cb chomp was quite pushing it. i tried my best to fix this team up, but ultimately it just boils down to the fact that some of them aren't the best pokemon.
also nobody gonna think about ndag lol (rest in peace gen 8 ndag, a genuinely fun meta)
give delphox psyshock to counter chansey/blissey
That could probably work, eevee127. Although it would mean physically defensive enemies that are weak to Psychic... no wait Lucario has Psychic.
252 SpA Delphox Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 159-187 (22.5 - 26.5%) -- 23.4% chance to 4HKO
Psyshock doesn't come close to ever breaking though Chansey. A lesser known fact about Chansey and Blissey is that both have decent physical bulk. If you do insist on using Delphox, run HP Ground on it to slam Heatran. I don't reccomend using Delphox period though, it's very heavily outclassed by loads of other Fire and Psychic types like Victini, Zard Y, Heatran, Cinderace etc. Btw, the confusing NatDex for NDAG probkem was so prevalent on PS! At one point that the ND chatroom changed it's name to National Dex OU. Lastly,  I don't reccomend using a gen 8 team in gen 9 if you're playing to win. Have fun with your team! @ryter the great
I tweaked it a lot before and after making it in gen9. Also, now that I think about it, I didn't look for answers of the moveset questions that specifically said natdex because of course I made the team before I had heard of showdown!. Lastly, I didn't realize that victini is legal in natdex. °○°
