Madness

It’s been a CRAZY start to DLC2 and I’m still trying to figure things out, but I’ve gotten 1300+ with this, so I think it’s going pretty well. There’s a lot of new threats, and yeah, here we go.
Teambuilding
Honestly it was just meshing and experimenting until I got this. The team originally started with Terapagos.
Team
Cheese (Enamorus) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Tera Blast
- Superpower
- Earth Power
- Moonblast
Enamorus is the only Mon bar Terapagos that runs Stellar effectively. The nice thing about this set is that it isn’t Tera reliant, as it can still Superpower sweep, Moonblast something, and cover with Earth Power. Scarf allows Enamorus to be my team’s speed control. Tera Blast for Stellar sweep, usually to clean up a weakened team. Superpower does the same. Earth Power is coverage against Archaludon and Gourging Fire. Moonblast is STAB. The hard thing about Enamorus is Stealth Rocks since I have no hazard removal. The plan is hit and don’t take anything back.
HM Fly (Latios) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Luster Purge
- Flip Turn
- Aura Sphere
Pretty self explanatory. Latios is such a powerful Pokemon. Spec Draco Meteor wrecks everything, and with the influx of threatening Dragon types, helps. Luster Purge is STAB and got buffed. Flip Turn to pivot. Aura Sphere for coverage against Gambit and Archaludon. Tera Fighting so I don’t die to a Sucker Punch. Latios also serves as my Anti-Weather lead, since Spec Draco Meteor OHKOs Torkoal and Pelipper.
Wall (Archaludon) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Stamina
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Body Press
- Flash Cannon
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Tail
This just doesn’t die. Even without recovery, often Archaludon takes out a couple of opposing Pokémon down. Assault Vest + SpDef investment allows Arch to be a physical and special wall. It especially helps Enamorus not kill it with Earth Power. Arch significantly helps in the Serperior matchup. Body Press takes advantage of Stamina boosts. Flash Connon for fairies and the absurdly good Iron Boulder. Draco Meteor to take advantage of Archaludon’s great SpAtk. Dragon Tail to phase setup.
Serpentine! (Serperior) @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tera Blast
- Substitute
- Leaf Storm
- Glare
The great Tera abuser of the DLC2, it’s Serperior. This thing is insane and just wrecks web teams because of Contrary. Leftovers increases longevity. Glare + Substitute allows free Leaf Storm spam. Serperior outspeeds Ogerpon and the Lati twins. Insane speed tier. Tera Blast Ground is coverage. I prefer it over Fire just because of all the Dragons around.
Neck Craze (Raging Bolt) @ Leftovers
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Thunderclap
- Volt Switch
- Calm Mind
Thunderclap is goated. Raging Bolt covers against Enamorus and Keldo extremely well. Leftovers for recovery. Draco Meteor is just mandatory on Special Dragon types. Bolt Switch to pivot and Calm Mind because I like it. Raging Bolt becomes a defensive pivot that can become an offensive problem. I like using it against Sticky Web Galvantula since Galvantula can do nothing in return as Raging Bolt Calm Minds away. Tera Flying to avoid E-Quakes.
Hazardous Art (Smeargle) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Stone Axe
- Spore
- Sticky Web
My usual dedicated lead unless I see weather. Each Gen just makes Smeargle more and more powerful. Spore to gain hazard settings turns. Stone Axe for Stealth Rocks. Ceaseless Edge for Spikes. Sticky Web for webs. I usually lay different hazards based on the opposing team composition.
So how’s the team. I realize the Meta is shifting quickly, but this has gone well for me.
