Made a doubles ou team to catch on with the times. Did some moodling around with it, and found out it was ok, but I'm ready to bet that it could be a LOT better. Anyways, here's the team:
Rillaboom @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Wood Hammer
- U-turn
- Fake Out
Rillaboom is really deadly with grassy surge, as it opens doors to a lot of possibilities. Grassy glide is nice priority move on grassy terrain, wood hammer is high damage stab that gets boosted to an amazing 156 power in grassy terrain, u turn to pivot, and fake out for support. Vest is for extra bulk, and poison tera for a way to get rid of toxic spikes.
Ogerpon-Wellspring (F) @ Wellspring Mask
Ability: Water Absorb
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ivy Cudgel
- Spiky Shield
- Grassy Glide
- Swords Dance
This pokemon is to be used with Rillaboom. Swords dance can set up, making it deadly, lvy cudgel is just overpowered, spiky shield is very important for protecting and stalling, and most important of all, this thing learns grassy glide, which has perfect synergy with rillaboom's grassy surge. terastilizing this thing makes it even more deadly, as it gets more special defense and more power on ivy cudgel.
Incineroar @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Knock Off
- Fake Out
- Parting Shot
Classic set of the most classic doubles pokemon. Intimidate is so good for doubles, as it can determine if your pokemon faints or not, flare blitz for nice STAB, knock off to take away items, fake out for support, and parting shot makes your opponent's pokemon even weaker, and you can safely switch in one of your pokemon. This pokemon can be also used in trick room quite effectively for offense, because of it's low speed.
Farigiraf @ Throat Spray
Ability: Armor Tail
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Psychic
- Trick Room
- Protect
A trick room setter with a broken ability. Armor tail absolutely prevents moves like sucker punch, thunderclap and fake out from happening, which is so nice. hyper voice for STAB, and it activates throat spray, making this pokemon more deadly, psychic is good STAB, trick room is a game changing move, and protect for protection and stall.
Ursaluna @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Facade
- Headlong Rush
- Protect
- Swords Dance
This pokemon is to be used with farigiraf's trick room, as it turns from dead slow to really fast in that room, making it unstoppable. facade is good STAB with flame orb and guts, headlong rush is STAB, protect for protection and stall for trick room to get set up, and it can activate flame orb safely, all without taking damage, and swords dance to boost his attack even more. Idk if swords dance is necessary though, as it could basically 1 shot anything, and that isn't even including tera. With tera, facade get's boosted even more, easily making it one of the most deadly pokemon on my team.
Landorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sandsear Storm
- Protect
- Sludge Bomb
- Earth Power
A really nice special attacking revenge killer. Sandsear storm is powerful STAB and can kill both of my opponent's pokemon easily, especially when this pokemon has sheer force and life orb. Protect is for protection and stall, sludge bomb for coverage, and earth power is STAB for slightly less power and single target, but much better accuracy. Tera water for resistance against ice and water.
And that's all from my team! Now for some concerns I have
-Do I need to spread my ev's better on my pokemon? especially my more defensive pokemon, as I want them to have the best bulk against good sweepers.
-Do I need to replace move(s) that are unnecessary or useless, or if there's just a better move than another on my pokemon that it needs?
-do I need to replace any pokemon that is unnecessary, or could be replaced by better pokemon?
-does this strategy need some refinement? (eg better pokemon for this strat, better synergy etc) or do I need to redo this entire team because it's garbage?
-are there specific threats that can steamroll my team?
Any suggestions would be very VERY much appreciated!
