Pokémon Rate My Team

This is a weird team archetype, I’m not sure what to call it. It’s made to be sort of an offensive stall team, where I set up hazards, and then pivot between pokemon to constantly check whatever they have out, chipping them until I win. I’m relatively new to the tier so I just trusted smogon for most of the sets.

Lokix @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Tinted Lens
Tera Type: Bug
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- First Impression
- U-turn
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off

Lokix is a staple pivot in this tier, the set needs no explanation.

Thundurus-Therian @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Bomb
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt

Thundurus is a great partner to Lokix, threatening fairy types and walls such as Skarmory. It forms a nice offensive core with Lokix.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Def / 180 SpD / 64 Spe
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Body Press
- Roost
- Whirlwind

Skarmory is here for hazards. I am considering adding stealth rock as well as spikes, but I end up clicking most moves here fairly frequently.

Sloking @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Scald
- Thunder Wave
- Slack Off
- Chilly Reception

Slowking is the first defensive pivot, here to wall setup sweepers. The set is standard, but I may swap slack off for another move (future sight?) as I don’t use it much.

Hydrapple @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Draco Meteor
- Giga Drain
- Earth Power

This hyrdapple forms an excellent defensive regenerator core with Slowking, with each walling the other’s threats. The only thing which threatens both is weavile, hence Tera steel. Hydrapple can also perform sweeps when setup, with giga drain providing healing.

Weavile @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Triple Axel
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off
- Low Kick

Weavile is one mon I am not particularly satisfied with. My team needs a speedster to deal with threats, and previously this slot was occupied with bond greninja, then scarf latios. However, I soon realised that my team had no physical attackers except Lokix (which is not very good for coverage,) making it very susceptible to calm mind users and special walls. Triple axel, knock off, and low kick are all standard moves, but I run poison jab instead of ice shard because lokix provides priority and I have no fairy coverage except thundurus.

what about zapdos-galar? It thrives with a choice item, learns low kick - it has decent coverage and has pivot, because of flying type immune to hazards and fighting makes stealth rock not much chip

Zapdos-Galar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Thunderous Kick
- Close Combat
- Brave Bird
- U-turn

As for the rest of your team is really good, but has one fatal flaw; hazards, you got 2 mons with regenerator and if you run U-turn on zapdos thats 4 pivot mons (lokix to) so I think you should replace skarmory with an avalugg - physical wall, rapid spin, sturdy, and hisuian has stealth rock. Or maybe a kind of donaphan (treads, tusk, ect.) Overall a great team.

Just wanted to point out a couple of things.
1. You can't use Meowscarada from UU since it is banned, being in UUBL
2. "flower trick can break bulky walls, like tatsugiri + dondozo and garganacl" Not sure if you realize it, but there is a Gen 9 UU is a singles format. Yes, there is a Doubles UU format, but the format OP is referring to is Singles Gen 9 UU, since Lokix is good there, being A rank on the UU VR. Lokix isn't even on the Doubles UU VR, and is below Doubles UU, which is shown as (DUU). Since the format OP is referring to is for singles, there isn't the Tatsugiri + Dondozo combo to deal with since Dondozo is OU(for Singles). Donphan is in UU, but Great Tusk and Iron Treads aren't since this is for Singles UU, not Doubles UU. Just wanted to point that out in case you didn't realize this was for Singles UU and not Doubles UU.
sorry - just learnt was uu was
