Chesnaught @Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: HP: 252 / Atk: 4 / Def: 252
Nature: Impish
-Drain Punch
-Leech Seed
-Spikes
-Spiky Shield
Unlike my other starter teams where I try to make a starter one of my main sweepers, Chesnaught is here to support the rest of the team. With it's great physical bulk, and supporting moves with Leech Seed and Spikes, Chesnaught can be a real pain for many teams.
Heatran @Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: HP: 252 / Sp.Atk: 4 / Sp.Def: 252
Nature: Calm
-Lava Plume
-Earth Power
-Stealth Rock
-Protect
I couldn't just run Chesnaught without Heatran, considering how well they work together. Heatran covers all of Chesnaught's weaknesses, and Chesnaught does the same. With a Sp.Def set, these 2 give me a solid defensive core, helping keep the other teammates alive.
Rotom-Wash @Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: HP: 252 / Def: 24 / Spd: 232
Nature: Timid
-Volt Switch
-Hydro Pump
-Thunder Wave
-Trick
I didn't have a Water type or a pivot yet, so that's where Rotom comes in. With Thunder Wave and Trick, Rotom-Wash can really mess up set up sweepers. Volt Switch is great for getting my other mons in, and most Ground types aren't going to want to switch into it's Hydro Pump so they can block it.
Excadrill @Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: Atk: 252 / Sp.Def: 4 / Spd: 252
Nature: Jolly
-Earthquake
-Iron Head
-Rapid Spin
-Swords Dance
I wanted a way to remove hazards, but all the options I saw made me quite weak to a certain type. I went with Excadrill as it's usually the best spinner and I didn't have a Ground type, but let me know if I should replace it with a different Hazard remover. With Swords Dance I can make sure some pokemon trying to chip Excadrill turn in set up fodder.
Weavile @Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: Atk: 252 / Sp.Def: 4 / Spd: 252
Nature: Jolly
-Icicle Crash
-Ice Shard
-Knock Off
-Pursuit
Weavile with it's strength and ability to trap pokemon with Pursuit made me want to add it. I don't really have anything to say about the set, it's nothing crazy.
Gardevoir-Mega @Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: Sp.Atk: 252 / Sp.Def: 4 / Spd: 252
Nature: Timid
-Hyper Voice
-Psyshock
-Hidden Power (Fire)
-Calm Mind
With no Mega and no Fairy type, I had 2 options between Diance and Gardevoir. With 2 Ground weaknesses so far, Gardevoir looked far more appealing. After a Calm Mind, Pixilate Hyper Voices off of a base 165 Special Attack is terrifying. I'm also packing Psyshock to make sure Special walls are unable to stop Gardevoir, like the Blobs Chansey and Blissey.
