Blastoise
Blastoise @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Foresight

Blastoise is the best Gen 5 UU Rapid Spinner. It has Scald so it can potentially burn ghost types that try to block rapid spin, can usually come in and remove hazards easily thanks to its good defenses, and while it is not too bulky, its Rapid Spin support is very much appreciated.

Arcanine
Arcanine @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Impish Nature
- Close Combat
- Wild Charge
- Flare Blitz
- Extreme Speed

Arcanine's stats are pretty good for a UU Pokemon. Its offensive coverage lets it cover a lot of different types. Intimidate is also a nice leadoff ability against physical attackers. While it is weak to hazards, it makes up for that in its offense and hard-to-swap-into moveset.

Machamp
Machamp @ Expert Belt
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Bulk Up
- Stone Edge
- Ice Punch

Machamp has a history of striking fear into the hearts of its opponents and for good reason. No Guard Dynamic Punch can be devastating to deal with, and with base 130 Attack, it can end battles easily against teams lacking a bulky Ghost Type. Machamp is slow, and has mediocre defenses, but can hold its own long enough to take out many key threats.

Roserade
Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes

Roserade is the final piece to our Starter Core, and this grass type is especially useful, having the ability to remove Toxic Spikes while setting them up at the same time. While its bulk is poor, it makes up for that with the move Giga Drain, which destroys even the bulkiest of Water Types, while restoring any lost HP.

Mismagius
Mismagius @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Taunt

Mismagius serves as the team's spin blocker, though it may be outclassed in that regard. However, as a setup sweeping Ghost Type, no pokemon does it better. Additionally, Mismagius can serve as a defensive pivot into Normal, Fighting, and Ground moves.

Krookodile
Krookodile @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

Krookodile rounds out the team as our Pursuit Trapper. With a unique offensive typing, it can also succesfully get rid of many different threats. Its defensive typing is bad, but is made up for with applying stealth rock, the most common hazard.

And there you have it, my team for Gen 5 UU. Now you get to decide: How good is this team? What changes need to be made? What works well on this team?
