PokéBase Meta Pokémon Rate My Team

Freshly imported from China. Only lost twice versus Trachy against who i came extremely close to beating the first time. I am currently ranked 137th in the main server.

Genesect @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Download
EVs: 124 Atk/ 92 SAtk/ 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)

  • Thunderbolt
  • U-turn
  • Ice Beam
  • Flamethrower

Heck, this mechanical insect works extremely well as a lead. Scarf gives him a decent Speed stat. Download determines what move i will use. As you can see, U-Turn is Genesect's only Physical move because other Pokemon in my team have this job. If Download raises my Special Attack, i don't switch and i use the move that is the most effective on the foe. If Download raises my Attack, i use U-Turn to bring in somebody who can battle the foe more effectively. My whole moveset combination is only resisted by Rotom-H. Thunderbolt is complimented by the high Special Attack Stat that Genesect has with the Download boost. Ice Beam and Flamethrower have also the same boost and they both hit hard. U-Turn is STAB and hits surprisingly hard with the Download Attack boost.

Espeon (F) @ Fire Gem
Trait: Magic Bounce
EVs: 148 SAtk/ 180 SDef/ 180 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Psyshock
  • Shadow Ball
  • Signal Beam
  • Hidden Power [Fire]

I love this Espeon moveset. Psyshock is STAB and hits the Blisseys and Chanseys really hard. Shadow Ball is coverage against Ghost types and Signal Beam is coverage against Dark types. HP Fire paired up with Fire Gem hits incredibly hard on Bug types. When i am in trouble, i normally use that. I switch Genesect out for him when i sense that the opponent will set up some Entry Hazards.

Heatran (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SAtk/ 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Fire Blast
  • Earth Power
  • Stone Edge
  • Stealth Rock

Yes, i know, S-Rock with a Choice Item.... I immediately switch out after. He is my Genesect switch-in. With a Flash Fire boost, Fire Blast is STAB and hits incredibly hard. Earth Power doesn't cover any weaknesses, it just covers as many other Types as possible. Stone Edge covers also alot of types. Stealth Rock can be helpful as Entry Hazards never really hurt your team.

Virizion @ Choice Band
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • X-Scissor
  • Stone Edge
  • Close Combat
  • Leaf Blade

My Physical hard-hitter. He is my Dark-type switch-in when Espeon is there or anytime i sense a Dark-type move coming. X-Scissor hits Psychic types for super effective damage as well as those Dark types on who i just switched in. Stone Edge hits Flying and Bug types hard. Close Combat is STAB and hits hard with Choice Band. Leaf Blade is also STAB and that high Critical Hit ratio is awesome.

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 28 Def / 252 SAtk / 228 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

  • Calm Mind
  • Scald
  • Ice Beam
  • Hidden Power [Flying]

Yes, Suicune. He is my Water-type absorber, especially when Heatran is there. In the switch-in, i use Calm Mind. Then, i start sweeping with the appropriate move. Scald is superior to Surf IMO because it has that 30% chance of burning the foe, which i like. Ice Beam hits Grass types for super effective damage. I have no idea why my Hidden Power is Flying..... Might have to change that.

Dragonite (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Spd,-SAtk)

  • Dragon Dance
  • Dragon Claw
  • Fire Punch
  • Brick Break

I really have a feeling that he doesn't go really that well in my team. It's the standard D-Dance Set with Brick Break instead of ExtremeSpeed or Earthquake. 'Nuff said.

Thank you for reading this! Any suggestions are accepted but i would prefer only moveset changes, not a whole team remake. As few Pokemon changes as possible, please.
