Pokémon Rate My Team

So for the past couple of weeks I couldn't come up with ANY good NU team ideas. Nothing was really catching my eye, then one day it just happened. I got my NU mojo back. :D, I used to get beat by people like (cough) Spoink, but pshffff I beat him w/ this team. :7 Anywho, my main problem with this team is a lack if a special wall... I DON'T WANT AUDINO, LICKILICKY, MILTANK ETC. So don't even suggest them. Other than that this team does fairly well. So please give me your suggestions! Thanks! :7

@ Life Orb
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

  • Hydro Pump
  • Ice Beam
  • Giga Drain
  • Rain Dance

Most if the time i'll lead w/ ludicolo since most people want to set up their rocks w/ golem or other SR's then I proceed to rain dance, and then make some whole in peoples team. Originally I had ludicolo as my special wall, but this has been helping me get more wins so yeah.

@ Black Sludge
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 116 HP / 252 Def / 140 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

  • Pain Split
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Thunderbolt
  • Clear Smog

My defensive wall with so e power behind his attacks, I give him just enough HP & Def EVs to where he can tank hits easily, then I'll give him some SAtk investment so he can actually do some damage w/ tbolt / clear smog. I don,t run sludge wave because I find that tbolt is better suited for this team. Weezing being my main samurrot counter.

@ Fighting Gem
Trait: Super Luck
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)

  • Substitute
  • Swords Dance
  • Sucker Punch
  • Superpower

Trachy's Absol set, not much to say, works wonders. This is my other lead sometimes, set up a free sub on SR then SD, then continue to rip holes. :)

@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Earthquake
  • Close Combat
  • X-Scissor
  • Stone Edge

Sawk is so overrated, Pin sir is the new sawk. Just get rid of the threats of whatever move you're planning on locking yourself into, and wreck. Teams need to prepare for this one.

@ Salac Berry
Trait: Gluttony
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

  • Nasty Plot
  • Flamethrower
  • Grass Knot
  • Focus Blast

I really wanted to try this guy out, since he doesn't have blaze released yet, I tried to find a way to abuse his gluttony ability, and sitrus berry just wasn't cutting it. Now that we have Salac berry this guy is a threat, he's already fairly speedy and can take at least one hit then the berry activated and he'll get a mini sweep going on.

@ Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Psychic
  • Energy Ball
  • Shadow Ball
  • Hidden Power [Fighting]

Lastly we have kadabra, I knew that alakazam is a boss, but kadabra is a boss in NU, the only real trouble he has is with priority moves like aqua jet, sucker punch etc. But this guy gets rid of a lot of pokemon who stand in the way of pinsir / simisear.

You don't even have Rain Dance on Ludicolo xD
Whoops, that was the old set, let me edit that out.
You only 1-0'd me. :[

ohai Riles :3 I wanted to answer this because we discussed a couple of problems with it on Skype. Okay, first one is that you can't take an Air Slash or Thunderbolt from Rotom-S which is always a threat in NU, especially scarfed variants as you have nothing to outspeed. I have a couple ideas to fix that though :] but yeah these do give you a weakness to Samurott, although Ludicolo can switch in on Waterfall or Aqua Jet, it can't take a +2 Megahorn. I just have some general improvements to make otherwise and should hopefully fix the problems you've been having. Let's go!

Ludicolo
Well he looks perfect, apart from one thing. If you switch out Weezing, which I'm going to suggest later, your team loses its Rotom weakness, and gains a little Samurott weakness :/ While Ludicolo can switch in on Waterfall and Aqua Jet, it can't take a +2 Megahorn. For this reason I'm going to say Timid over Modest. Sure, Ludicolo would like the power boost, and the speed is irrelevant in rain, but outspeeding and OHKOing Adamant Samurott (all of them are) with Giga Drain is too good to pass up.

Weezing
As much as I like this guy, he's become a little obsolete with the decline of Sawk, and the rise of bulky Psychics like Musharna. Also, he loses a lot of your momentum on this largely offensive team as well as getting pwned by Rotom >:D So something that can invest fully in offense while still tanking hits is better for this slot. You have two options:

Piloswine (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard

Golem (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Rock Blast
- Sucker Punch

Both can handle Rotom easily with their STAB moves. There's honestly not much difference between the two - they both have priority, Stealth Rock, STAB Earthquake, and nice bulk. Piloswine tends to take special hits better though, while Golem can make short work of substitutes with Rock Blast.

Absol
Looks great.

Pinsir
The 4 HP EVs should go into Defense so he can switch 5 times into Stealth Rock.

Simisear
4 EVs into Defense so he can switch 5 times into Stealth Rock. lol. Also, Hidden Power Rock over Focus Blast to hit other Fire types harder. (Charizard!)

Kadabra
Umm... HAUNTER IS WAY BETTER anyway, I honestly think you should give him Substitute, not only because of the sheer number of switches he causes, but it also allows him to dodge priority (sucker punch anyone?) it allows him to switch out safely from Skuntank and Absol's Pursuit, too. I'd get rid of energy ball, Ludicolo covers the same threats better, because he gets STAB.

Hope I helped. :]
