OK sure, I took the answer down. Hopefully this is OK as a compromise.
The moveset rule is basically a means of keeping the site organised and without clutter. It would be great to have an optimal moveset on the site for every Pokemon with every combination of suboptimal nature, learnset or ability. But the clutter resulting from potentially allowing people to post dozens of moveset threads about the same Pokemon would be massive. It would spread movesets across multiple threads, it would flood the front page with movesets even more, and many of these threads could just be solved with the main thread anyway, which creates a bit of a moderating dilemma. (For example, would we have to start telling people, "I'm taking your thread down because you didn't know the main thread answered your question already"? If we just left them up, would we be recreating the same moveset thread again?) Essentially it's just more bother than it's worth -- I get the "no" attitude sucks, but these threads are too difficult to manage long-term. Hopefully that perspective makes sense.
