Hi I'm here as a friend of PZ's to teach you the wonderful art of WEIRD EV SPREADS.

Have you ever had a Tyrantrum and thought crap that fricking Defensive Diancie just OHKOed me with Moonblast? Never fear, the queen of weird EV spreads may or may not be here it actually depends.

Anyway go to the damage calculator and calculate stuff.

I think your brother Da Viper can learn it himself. Before, I suck at showdown, not learning what ev spreads are, but I leadned it by myself. He should learn it by himself right, its better that way, so he is interested in it.

Fizz, I have a brother who joined the site. He goes by the name Da Viper on I went ahead and answered the connected account agreement thread. He doesn't know much about competitve battling. Any advice I should give him? You can give the advice to him yourself if you want to...

Re EVs: It's not entirely wrong that higher defences will make your Pokemon more resistant to attacks -- but people do forget how HP can make damage much lower as a fraction of your total health, or that it affects both sides at once.
And yeah, that multiplication model is quite nice. I've read the same Smogon article -- it's a really good one to share if you want to help people understand how to optimise EVs.
Re win conditions: Any set-up that is going to win you the game is a win condition. You can apply that definition in whichever way you like. People might describe a set-up sweeper Pokemon as their 'win condition' because it's the main way they plan to win late-game. You could also use the term to describe the scenario that wins you the game: for example, my win condition might be to weaken my opponent's Rotom-H and KO their Mandibuzz, and then set up SD with Rillaboom against something passive. (You can see why clever teambuilding and in-game decisions might help you achieve that.)
