Glaceon in ou with that set-maybe. Ubers? Likely not. The opponent had a not very good team, and pretty much all teams have a zacian.
Here's a damage calc of what would happen

Not a very good situation for glaceon.

sumwun Glaceon is bulkier and a special attacker, but slow and has a bad movepool. Darmanitan is fast and a physical attacker, but very frail.

sm 4evr I didn't say Glaceon was perfect. The ONLY time I would send out Glaceon against Zacian is under Hail because of Snow Cloak. And Glaceon can beat Cinderace One on One. 252 ATK+ Cinderace-Gmax G- Max Fireball vs. 252HP/ 0 def  Glaceon only does 492-578(73.6-86.5%) damage, guaranteed 2HKO, but +2 252+ SPA (let's be honest, anyone using cinderace against glaceon is going to use pyro ball/g-max fireball) Glaceon Max geyser vs. 0 HP/ 4 SPD Dynamax Cinderace-Gmax does 644-782 (110.2-129.9%) Damage, guaranteed OHKO. So the pressure is on Cinderace in this one.

Sorry if this sounds mean, but winning some lower ladder games does not mean that you've unearthed a hidden gem that everyone is underrating. Especially not in a format like Ubers where nobody in the lower ladder plays the best Pokemon. There is a reason why players better than you and I don't use Glaceon -- it is outclassed.

Fizz I only showed an example. And I have beaten some of the actual uber Pokemon with Glaceon, like Mewtwo, Lunala, Necrozma, Kyurum, and Cinderace. Again, it's not perfect, but it's definately underrated.

I'm sure you have, but the point stands that winning games against people who are bad at competitive Pokemon doesn't mean you can say Glaceon is viable (or 'underrated').
Would you tell somebody playing Ubers in a tournament that they should use Glaceon on their team instead of Darmanitan, Kyurem, or any other 'standard' wallbreaker?

sumwun Like I said, Glaceon is a special attacker, but since you asked, it can threaten both Necrozmas,, Zekrom, and Dracovish. Basically the only uber Pokemon Glaceon has little to no chance of beating is Melmetal, Zamazenta, and Zacian.

sumwun after a sunsteel strike, dynamax glaceon survives, thus activating wp and max phantasm is a guaranteed 2hko. It can also beat Cinderace and Marshadow one on one. Blissey has super high hp and special defense, so any special attacker who doesn't have psyshock would have trouble, Glaceon vs Tyranitar is a kind of roller coaster ride because it really depends on the set Tyranitar is running.

First, you can't rely on Dynamax to check a non-Dynamax opponent. The opponent will likely switch to a defensive Pokemon like Blissey, which wastes your 3 Dynamax turns and make you unable to check that Dynamax-requiring opponent anymore. Even if it doesn't switch, you will use up your Dynamax and weakness policy. When your opponent Dynamaxes later, you won't be able to Dynamax in response to that.

Second, Darmanitan is significantly faster than Glaceon. In addition to checking a lot of healthy opponents, it can revenge-kill a weakened Mewtwo, Dragapult, Zacian, or Eternatus without taking any damage, which Glaceon can't do.

Zekrom outspeeds Glaceon, and both blizzard and bolt strike can miss. So Glaceon has a 74.5% chanceof winning this matchup.

Here is a Sword and Shield set I use in Anything Goes

Glaceon @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Snow Cloak / Ice Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Blizzard
- Freeze Dry
- Shadow Ball
- Water Pulse

I think the problem is people always try to make Glaceon fast, but what if we don't? It has 110 defense and 95 special defense. We can make a bulky special sweeper or wall breaker here. With full HP, Glaceon can take a decent amount of super-effective hits. And when you Dynamax and get that hail up, your Ice-type moves are stronger, Blizzard is 100% accuracy, and Snow Cloak activates, which means you have a chance to avoid attacks. You can also go for Ice Body, but Glaceon's not a wall, so I'd rather Snow cloak. and 9 times out of 10 someone is going to use a super-effective move against our icy friend, so Weakness Policy can activate and then you are doing an INSANE amount of damage. I really think Glaceon is underrated and should have a chance because this thing plays no games when it comes to battling.
