Generally almost every team uses a bulky Water and Grass type. The most popular core of this sort is the Regenerator Slowking + Tangrowth core, which can be countered with clever switch-in predictions. This one rose in popularity because of Agility Moltres, which is stupidly OP and should be UU imo.

On most teams I like to use a Bug Pokemon to hit the Regenerator core with a Fire resistance Pokemon to help. Kabutops if you need Spin support or Omastar otherwise. Durant and Escavalier both do this very well; though Scyther is kinda sucky.

Also, you have to be aware of troll Pokemon in the tier. Things like Liepard are common, and underestimating it will kill you. Whimsicott is another popular troll in the tier; though he is countered fairly easily with Boufallant, Sawsbuck or Miltank. A Normal Pokemon is also something I recommend having. Boufallant is the best imo; the Band and Head Change is absolutely amazing. Also be wary using Steel Pokemon like Ferroseed; Magneton is popular and will HP Fire you.

The last thing I recommend is an offensive Grass type. Rotom Mow, Sceptile and Lilligant are the most notable Pokemon for the job, all for different reasons. They are good because of Slowking and Quagsire who have problems taking hits for Grass Pokemon. Also, run HP Fire on every offensive Grass. It means that Tangrowth, Amoonguss and Bug/Steel types won't wall you.

The key to RU is bulky offence, to be honest. Being frail will mean you'll die to the powerful attackers in the tier, and being too defensive leaves you setup fodder for things like Dusknoir, Steelix and Accelgor.

If you have any knowledge of NU, it'll be useful also. Things like Alomomola and Misdreavus are both frequently used in RU.

Right, sounds good. Ask me what you want to know on my wall and I'll post back as soon as possible. ;)

OK.

Where to you want me to talk to you? On the wall like we are now, or should we just do it in Showdown? I prefer it on the wall since I can write large posts, and we don't have to be online at the same time, which is pretty damn hard for me to do.

Yeah I can do that.
What is it that you wanted help with? Teambuilding or just general knowledge of the Pokemon of the tier?

Haha, that's kinda weird :3
Weird dreams happen though. Kinda surprising that an Internet website turned up in a dream like that. >.>
