But good luck with talking to your dad. At least that's what I would say if my luck wasn't dry. But make sure you keep yourself and your health first and don't over work yourself trying to make a relationship work if it just isn't possible.

2nd, 3rd, even 4th chances are possible, I'd know. But just be sure you prioritize your happiness and don't feel obligated to be there for someone if it isn't healthy for you.

...or something I don't know, I'm no therapist. I could genuinely suck at this who knows.

I don’t like to diary on my wall, but I’m feeling anxious but proud. So, to anyone who may see this… I’m going to meet my dad for the “first time”. I haven’t seen him in person since I was around 8, and I haven’t spoken to him at all since age 11, due to a bunch of life circumstances I can’t get begin to get into. I’m driving 4-5 hours today to help him out with his estate and sort things out as he’s an older guy. And I also want to hear his story. I’ll either be super active or super inactive for the next 4 days depending on if me or my partner is driving, and also how the meeting is going, lmao. Wish me luck. I love this site and everyone on it. I pray that all of you find happiness and success in your paths in life. The path you choose for yourself is the right one as long as it comes from the heart. Continue onwards, even if things get tough, because eventually, the path you choose will bring you to where you need to be. Aim to become the best versions of yourself and who you want to be. Do your best to be the change you wish to see in the world.
