Can you get Mamoswine in the HG/SS Pokedex, even though it's a Sinnoh Pokemon?

Or is Mamoswine just not in the dex? I mean, all you must do is give the move relearner a Heart Scale and use it on Piloswine to teach it AncientPower and level it up. It's totally logical to get it before beating the game...

Yes, Mamoswine is obtainable in the game and its Regional dex # is 197, right after Piloswine. You can obtain Lickilicky and Yanmega as well.

Yes, you can get it after evolving a Swinub from Icy Path. Although, when you check it's summary, it will say No. ??? until you have the National Dex.
