Sneasel evolves with a razor claw into Weavile, is then Weavile's critical hit ratio powered up?

If a Pokemon hold a razor claw, the it's critical hit ratio is powered up. Does it still work if I evolve a Sneasel with it into a Weavile?

So long as Weavile holds the Razor Claw, yes, but once Weavile is not holding the Razor Claw his Critical hit ratio is returned to normal.
