After using Razor Claw/ Fang to evolve Sneasel/ Gligar, do they disappear?

I never evolved any of them before. So does it
- remain with you in the bag, or
- is the evolved Pokemon holding it, or
- does it disappear forever?

It will disappear forever, just like using an Evolutionary Stone
