How to reset the Pokewalker?

Question

How do you reset the pokewalker with a pokemon in it. I put a pokemon in my pokewalker forgot about him and beated the game started new one and the poke walker dosent work on my new levels plz help I really need my pokewalker!!

Press Down+X+R when you're on the pokewalker connection screen and it should reset. You will lose your pokemon though.
