I just caught a lvl 50 Magicarp at the Lake of Rage in SS, is this a glitch?

I was surfing on the lake looking for a 20ish Gyarados, and out pops this lvl 50 Magicarp. Looking at the Pokemon list at Lake of Rage, the max for the Magicarp while surfing is 20. Is this a glitch?

Probably, but this has happened to other people. You can also catch a shiny Gyarados there too.

Like with any other pokemon you can, but the chance of ever find one is rare.
