How do you trade Pokemon in Red Rescue Team?

I'm wanting to evolve Kadabra to Alakazam....the only way to do this is to trade, and then trade back and Kadabra will turn into Alakazam.....I have not been able to find a place in Red Rescue Team Mystery Dungeon to do so.
Does this mean that Kadabra cannot evolve?

You may evolve them in Luminous Cave after you capleted the game; but give spirits Link-Cable, when they ask you to.
