For the PWT I used this strategy and Pokemon and it was very effective against a lot of trainers. Note*: this moveset and strategy works the best with rotation battles.:

First Wave:

Garchomp
Garchomp@Draco Plate
Trait: Rough Skin
Nature: Jolly
EV spread: 252 Atk. 252 Spe, 4 HP
Moveset:
-Dragon claw( STAB move+coverage against dragon trainers like Lance, Drayden,..)
-Sword Dance( boosts attack stat
-Earthquake( STAB+ coverage against ice types( good against Candice,... Counters steel, rock types( Trainers like Steven Stone
-Fire Fang( Counters steel, grass, ice)

Garchomp is an excellent sweeper. With its High speed and attack stat it can sweep a team when not treated correctly. I suggest you don't set up sword dance when battling any Dragon type trainers. Try to get them out immediately. I would say go for Dragon claw instead of Outrage because it is critical not to be locked into a Pokémon that resists dragon type attacks.

Rotom
Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EV spread: 252 SpAtk. 252 Spe, 4 HP
Moveset:
-Volt switch(to scout if needed)/Thunderbolt( STAB+ counters flying, water types
-Hydro Pump/Surf( STAB+ Counters rock, ground, Fire
-Will-O-Wisp( To ware down foes)
-Shadow ball(Counters ghost type/Grass knot( to get water/ground threats such as gastrodon, swampert, quagsire down.

Rotom-W is a great Pokémon to use in the PWT. With it's great bulk and excellent movepool it is a real monster. Coupled up with garchomp it can take any hit that was meant for Garchomp, but beware of Outrage.

Metagross
Metagross@ Steel Gem
Trait: Clear Body
Nature: Adamant
EV spread: 252 Atk. 200 HP, 52 Spe.
Moveset:
-Bullet punch ( STAB+Priority move)
-Meteor Mash (STAB+ great power+ chances to raise attack stats)
- Protect
-Zen headbutt(STAB+Great power and chance to flinch

With Garchomp and Rotom-W as it companions it is a great Pokémon to use for the rotation challenge. With it's great power and attack stat is light wall and physical Tank that does make a threat when not taken out soon enough

Second Wave:

Latios
Latios @ White herb
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EV spread: 252 Sp. Atk. 252 speed
Moveset:
-Hidden power (fire)
-Draco Meteor(TAB+Great Power, taks out dragon types for sure)
-Surf(Countes fire, ground, rock types)
-Psyshock(STAB+great power and countes specially defensive Pokemon well)

Latios sweeps for Garchomp in case Garchomp is taken out. With higher speed, Latios can truly reck havoc. It is not outsped by anything except for Cynthia's Scarfed Glaceon, and Red's quick claw Snorlax.

Scizor
Scizor @ Flying Gem
Trait: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EV spread: 252 Atk. 200 defense. 52 SpDe
Moveset:
-Acrobatics( With flying gem an technician it has great power)
-Bullet Punch( STAB priority move)
-Pursuit(To still b able to hit predictable switches
-Protect

In Rotation battles Scizor works as a great support to Latias. Taking dragon type attacks very well and is capable of taking Bug, dark, ghost moves you can easily switch any threat to Latios in with Scizor. It's purpose is to finish unfinished business with it's powered-up priority moves

This team got me through the whole PWT. Hope it helpes you too

Good luck

With the water and grass type trainers in the PWT you need Bulk (Rotom-W, Scizor, Metagross)
With all the other trainers you need agility and attack stat (Rotom-W, Garchomp, Latios)

Hey, that's a nice team! Well, for starts give each Pokemon an item that'll give it an advantage (Quick claw, oran berry, etc.). Then raise up your stats if they aren't high enough. Next, focus on the opponent's weaknesses. Most of the Pokemon will be crazy strong. Be careful about that. Try to stay in between attack and defensive side. This is a world thing. I do not know this slack word you speak of. 0.o Hit it with its weakness! Block as mush damage as possible! Agility counts, too! That's how you do it right!

I don't know how this works but it hasn't lost a single battle in world leaders single battle ever, surprising

Haxorus (lead)@dragon fang
Trait: Mold Breaker
Nature: Jolly
EV spread: 252 Attack 4 defense 252 speed
Moves:
Outrage (STAB) brute force with 216 power with dragon fang
Earthquake (Coverage, just the chunkiest move ever)
Swords Dance (if you know your opponent can survive the attacks above, use this first)
Any move, it doesn't matter (mine had false swipe so definitely feel free to replace it)

Cloyster@Focus Sash
Trait: Skill Link
Nature: Adamant
EV spread: 252 Attack 4 defense 252 speed
Moves:
Shell smash (Focus sash gives you a turn to set this up)
Icicle spear (STAB, affected by skill link)
Rock blast (Coverage, affected by skill link, you can only get one by breeding though)
Razor shell (STAB)

Landorus-therian@Choice Band (You will have to trade to get landorus)
(if you can't trade, use terrakion, it has a bit more weaknesses, and does not get stab from earthquake, but it might work, totally depends on how you use it)
Trait: Intimidate
Nature: Jolly
EV spread: 252 Attack 4 defense 252 speed
Moves:
Earthquake (STAB, just love the chunkiness)
Hammer Arm (Coverage, use only at key points since if lowers your second best stat)
Stone Edge (Coverage, be wary as it misses a fifth of the time)
Fly (STAB, wish if could learn acrobatics but it just can't, this is a replacement)
These moves all counter different opponents and since you are playing world leaders and every opponent uses only one type, Choice band can work.

Good luck, hope I helped!
