Could you catch Pokemon in mystery dungeon blue rescue team?

Not particularly CATCH, Pokemon will just JOIN your team. And since you really are playing as a Pokemon in the game, it would seem awkward to catch Pokemon with a Pokeball. xD

How do they join?

When you defeat a wild Pokemon, there's a chance that they will ask to join your team. You then get an option to accept or reject, along with an option to name them.
