Fire Blast or Fire Fang for Aerodactyl?

Question

I've noticed that Aerodactyl has a way better Attack stat than Special Attack, but Fire Blast deals 120 damage and Fire Fang does 65. Which move is better for Aerodactyl?

224-265 (63.63 - 75.28%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

V.S.

0- SpA Life Orb Aerodactyl Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 208 SpD Ferrothorn:
203-239 (57.67 - 67.89%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

They both 2HKO, so Fire Blast would be superior in that it doesn't get Weakened by Burn Status.

Just wondering, did you make it so the special defense and defense in each calc are the same?

No, but the Answer is still accurate as both Ferrothorn's were the same- the Calcs were proportional to one another (both Ferrothorn's were the same, so the Damage can evenly be compared. Changing it and making both Defenses equal would throw off the comparison since Ferrothorn's Defenses aren't equal).

Hitting Ferrothorn is kinda useless because Aero is RU and all, and will almost never see the light of day in OU. However, Blast is still more useful since it hits Tangrowth and Steelix hard.

I must have used Ferrothorn as an example since I'm used to seeing more Aerdactyl Leads in Monotype, so that was a "my bad" on my end.

But no matter Pokemon is used, the Answer remains the same.
