Why would the word England be banned? To my knowledge, no bad words or such are included in the name. I tried. Trust me I did.

It could be that ENGLAND contains a word that in another language that is banned. I checked the list of banned names for Gen 5, and there were no words found in england that were banned.
The closest I could get was 'gland'.

Alas, I'm right!

I tried nicknaming my Pokemon, and my results were:

England > Not accepted
Gland > Not accepted
Glan > Accepted
Land > Accepted

So that means that 'Gland' is the word that is executed.
I don't want to know what it means, so you can look it up if your curious enough.

Hope I helped. :)

A gland is an organ in an animal's body that synthesizes a substance for release of substances such as hormones or breast milk, often into the bloodstream ...

I'm pretty sure this has something to do with it

Not as gross as I thought. That's good.
Still. For future reference, don't define words like that. xD
Actually gland in French is pr!ck or w@nker
Oh, that would make sense.
I just had to look XD
