Energy Ball - Smeargle's Sketch?

Question

If I have a male Smeargle use Sketch and learn Energy Ball, can I then breed with a female Vulpix to have it pass it down? I usually just use Ditto for breeding, aha :')

So, it could, however Vulpix cannot learn Energy Ball as an egg move. So, really, it can't happen. But it could work if it did know Energy Ball as an egg move.

It only learns Energy Ball as a TM in Generation V. Sorry.

Vulpix can learn the TM for it, though, so it can still be passed down through breeding. Of course because TMs are reusable in Gen VI, I don't know why you don't just use the TM on a Vulpix instead.

That looks like it would work, but not in 5th Gen at least. Energy ball is not listed as an egg move for 5th Gen, but I think it would work for other generations. I'm not sure about Gen 6.
