PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

This is in Pokemon X, I've been trying the Masuda Method on Honedge. I started doing so with a Japanese Honedge & one that I caught (I live in America). I stopped after a while then started again, but instead of breeding it with the same honedge, I bred the Japanese Honedge with on of its offspring. Will breeding the foreign Pokemon with its offspring disrupt the Masuda Method or does it not make a difference? (I've hatched 300+ eggs with the foreign Honedge & its offspring.)

>Despite conventional wisdom, no negative effects occur from inbreeding Pokémon in Generation III onward.

In case you don't know, or you just care for some linguistic reason, inbreeding is just breeding with related Pokemon/people/others.

So, breeding with your offspring still should work.

Hope I helped. :)
