Bad Egg in Pokemon White?

Question

So I used PokeGTS to try and get Mew for my team in Pokemon White - but I got an egg from the GTS instead. Is this normal? Is it a bad egg? It is not labelled "Bad Egg," simply egg. Is it safe to hatch it? If not, how do I get rid of it?

Just save and hatch it. What can go wrong! Tell me what happens if it does hatch though! xD

Well, it's better to be safe rather than sorry. I wouldn't hatch it.

Of course, there is no way to get rid of an egg, so just keep it in your PC and forget about it.

You can try use PokeGTS again, and hopefully you can get a Mew instead of an egg. It's never really safe to use those type of programs.
